The Most Popular Posts Part Four!

Good morning, friends. We're continuing today with our big countdown of the fifty most popular IBKC posts!  Today, we're cracking the top twenty!

#20  Two Thumbs Up!
I think this is the earliest post to make the top fifty list, and probably the IBKC image that has been shared more than any other.  It was featured on Cute Overload, which really put us on the map.  Prior to the CO feature,  we got got maybe a hundred visitors a day, but on the day this was posted, we had 13,000 visitors.  It's the reason why many of you found our way to us.

#19 My Apologies Charlene
I'm sure she hates this post as much as I love it, but dang, Charlene, you know I had to share it. And now, I'm sharing it again, because so many of you loved this, too.  Sorry, Bean.

#16 Such a Tolerant Bean
Poor Bean! This one has been shared a squillion times. It landed on Love Meow, Cute Overload, and I Can Has Cheezburger, too.

#15 I'm Their Mother, She's My Sister, He's My Brother
It was a very exciting day when we broke this news!

#14 Better
This one one of the most challenging times in our fostering history. Wylla and Audrey's brother had passed from a virus, and we were so worried about the well-being of the girls. Fortunately, things began looking up for the girls, and we all breathed a sigh of relief.

#12 Stepping Out With Wylla Stout - Sweater Shopping!
When Wylla was wee, the poor girl got cold so easy, she wore sweaters when she stepped out. Here she is on a sweater shopping excursion.

 #11 The Saddest Day

We've been very fortunate that in these 9 years of fostering, we've only lost a few kittens.  These sad posts always come with many sweet, thoughtful, comforting words from all of you.

Von Tussles: Then and Now

We said goodbye to two more of the babies this weekend, and this morning, the last of these dear things leave the nest.  It sure has been a pleasure getting to know this amazing set.  They all landed some very nice homes, and we'll start the departure tales tomorrow.

We've have six wonderful weeks with the Von Tussles.  During this time, they've done a whole lot of growing and changing.  Here are there "before" and "after" shots so you can see the difference.

Fun in the Kitty Cave

This is their new favorite thing in the world: wrasslin' matches in the kitty cave.   My new favorite thing in the world: watching them.

Good times!

Fewer and Quieter

Last week, a couple of our Von Tussles got snipped, and over the past few of days, we've started saying our goodbyes.  The rest of the crew goes in for surgery later this week, so if all goes as planned, they'll be leaving us shortly. I thought I would save all our departure tales until after they are all gone, and have a full week of goodbyes.

Though we love these kittens dearly, and I don't regret for one second taking this big batch in, a reduction in the Von Tussle population in our home has been nice.  We're currently down to four, which is much easier on Bean's nerves.  I think she was starting to feel a little too out numbered by this crew as they've grown.  Truth be told, I was too!  As they've gotten bigger and rowdier, it feels as though their numbers have increased!

But really, I'm not complaining.  This has been a spectacular batch, and getting to spend time with them has been a delight.

They're such a fabulous mix of colors, coat lengths, patterns and personalities.  These weeks with the Von Tussles have been nothing but joy!  I hope you all feel the same.

On the Edge

I love this kitten team.  Thanks for putting on this cute little show on the edge of the guest room bed, Von Tussles.  You six are adorable, delightful and highly entertaining.

Hairy Halos and a Sunlit Scrimmage

In only a few minute, I managed to take almost 200 shots of these darling things and their morning scrimmage.  I whittled it down to 22, but I may go back and add a few more to this set later, or maybe do a second post. Their fuzzy little silhouettes are just too cute!

Though you can't tell who is who by their coloring in these images, you can identify them by their body language, shape and coat length.

I love these Von Tussles and their hairy halos!  And their little paws and ears with the sunlight passing through!
