No More Maxine!

DSC_0059

Last week, as soon I mentioned on the blog that Ms Maxine was available, I got a FLURRY of emails from wonderful people offering wonderful homes.

One was from Vic, mother to IBKC graduates Agnes and Henry Pettibone. She had a co-worker who had recently lost his 19-year-old kitty and was ready to bring in a companion for his big, floofy girl, CoCo.

Big, Floofy GirL?

Maxine worships Charlene. I thought how perfect would it be to send her to a home with another big, floofy girl to adore.

After Vic's introduction, Ed (aka Coco's dad) and I had a few email exchanges. He sounded great, so did CoCo. With Vic's seal of approval, I knew he just had to be an awesome kitty dad.

So Saturday afternoon, Ed came down to meet Maxine, and shortly thereafter, Maxine was on her way home with her new daddy.

Hooray!

I'm so excited for the girl. I know she's going to do just great with her new family!

We sure enjoyed our last days with Maxine. She had Charlene had the best time playing together. I think Bean managed to squeeze in a few more lessons, too. She is, after all, the in-house big and floofy cat expert. I think she did a great job prepping Maxine for her new life.

Linus, Bean, Maxine

Over the past week, the kittens have been trickling out the door. Linus left yesterday (full report on Monday) and now it's just Miss Maxine. She's got a long list of suitors, so it won't be long before she leaves us too.

As I've mentioned before, Charlene has enjoyed the decrease in population. She gets a little overwhelmed with too many kittens to monitor. A pair is just perfect, so she's really enjoyed the past few days with just Linus and Maxine.

Maxine and Linus also have enjoyed the pleasure of her company, and are happy they don't have to share her with all the others.

They've enjoyed the pleasure of each other's company as well.

Maxine is on the Market

DSC_0009

We're almost there! Five out of six of our magnificent Medleys have found their families, but we're still on the hunt for Maxine's. We've had several folks inquire, but for a number of reasons, things just haven't panned out. This happens all the time, but I never worry because the family that was meant to be, is out there. Sometimes the stars need to align before they find us, and I'm willing to wait for that to happen.

So, Maxine is officially on the market.

If you know of any wonderful, loving people in the Tacoma/Seattle area who are looking for a sweet, spunky, and cuddly little girl, please send them in our direction.

The perfect home would have another young or young-in-spirit cat who's in need a little companion. I'm a firm believer that every kitty needs company.

What I love most about Maxine is that you can scoop her up anytime, hold her belly-side up in your arms and she'll immediately start purring. She loves to be loved. She's absolutely delightful girl and I guarantee she'll bring joy into your life, and brighten your day.

Any interested parties, please shoot me an email kittywrangler(at)gmail(dot)com.

Thanks!

Looking Good at Any Angle

DSC_0062

Generally, this is a very unflattering angle to be photographed from. Not for Maxine. She looks good at any angle.

What a beauty she is. I just adore her sparkling eyes and freckles.

Over, Under.

I do believe these kittens have woven themselves into a little Tabby tapestry.

It's a Tabestry!

Mmmm Mmmm

Maxine Medley.

She's as goofy as they get - part dancing bear, part roly-poly bug. She's confident and social and is always the first to say hello when you enter the kittens' quarters.

She's uber-cuddly and a purring machine.

Oh, and she's ADORABLE too.

The girl's got it all.

Who? Little ole me?
