Bibi Watching Bibi

You all are going to love this!!  Rachel, mom to Flip and Bibi Winkler, sent me this hilarious video of her kitties.   Here's what she had to say...

Recently, Daniel and I got gut a huge TV which Bibi is quite enamored with. We thought it would be amusing to show Bibi the video of her defending the couch from the IBKC website.

Attached is the video I took of Bibi watching Bibi...and Flip ruining the party! I thought this video captured their personalities perfectly and that you would enjoy seeing it and maybe sharing it with Bibi and Flip's adoring fans.

 

Now, Rachel, you realize you'll have to take a video of Bibi watching the video of Bibi watching the video.

Flip Finds a Home!

 Daniel and Rachel came over to meet the Winklers, in hopes of finding the perfect kitten to bring into their home.    Leonard had already been spoken for, so they had to decide between Flip, Franklin, Bibi and Daphne.  We chatted and watched the kittens play, then I excused myself so they could discuss these four adorable options.     We had another couple coming after their meet and greet, so they had to make their decision that evening.

After  much debate, they decided Flip would be the one.

We said our goodbyes,  we had  meet-and-greet number two, couple number two decided on a pair, and Daniel and Rachel called back.

They had been discussing the kittens over dinner, and as excited as they were to be adopting Flip, they were sad to leave Bibi behind.   They called to see if Bibi might be available, and if she were, they thought maybe they needed two kittens and not just one.  

And she was, and so now she's theirs too!

We're thrilled how it all played out.    We always love sending them out in pairs and Bibi and Flip make a wonderful kitten couple.  



I've gotten a few emails form Rachel, and it sounds like they are so happy with their decision.

A Thank You and A Thunderous Herd

 First, I want to start of by saying thanks to all of you for the many kind comments left on our 2000th post. You say such sweet things.   I am happy to know that this blog can be a bright spot in your day.   You all do the same for me.    THANK YOU.   You truly are the best.   Truly.

Now on to kitten business.

Remember when these kittens first moved in and I said that they were short-timers?    Well.  It's almost time.  Three out of five of our little Winklers are off getting snipped today.   The other two will be going in next week.   So, our days our numbered with this precious set.  

But they're not gone yet.  They'll be trickling out the door over the next 12 days, so let's enjoy these sweet Tabbies and spend some time getting to know them better.

Just a couple days ago they got the full run of the house and got to meet Charlene.   I've got some clips of their first meeting which I'll share with you tomorrow.    Movies take so much more time than photos, so in the interest of getting a post up  sooner rather than later today, it will have to wait.

They Winklers were SO ready to get out of quarantine.   The last couple of days, it was virtually impossible to get through the door to their room without someone escaping.  Once they had a taste of the outside world, they needed to see more.  I tried to block them with a dust pan as I passed through the door, but they just jumped over it and through my arms. They are small, smart and fast.

Now that they are out and about, they are absolutely insane.   I know there are only five of them, but if feels like fifty.   The tiny but thunderous herd runs the length of the house over and over again.   It's fun to be so free!  

Of course they still have their quiet moments too -they do tire eventually.   Even Flip, pictured above, who might just be the rowdiest one in the batch, eventually settles down.

Flip Winkler's Tiny Tongue

After a long stretch of kitten crazy time, Flip flopped on the bed and dropped right off to sleep.




I returned an hour or so later to check on the Winklers and the boy was out cold, with his teeny tiny tongue just barely sticking out.  

He stirred slightly, almost opened his eyes,  and drifted off again.



With his tiny tongue still sticking out.

Flippin' Out

Flip Winkler has really awesome swirls and stripes on his coat.

In fact, all the Tabbies in Tabby Town have awesome stripes and swirls.
