Little Fly Catchers

A housefly snuck into the house and quickly caught the curiosity of the Dinichis.  It flew to the window, got stuck between the shade and glass, and buzzed loudly as it bounced around and tried to escape.

This captivated the kittens, especially Tegan, who did a little meerkat-ing while she carefully watched the action.

Eventually the fly did escape from the window trap, but soon got batted to the ground by Wylla, then pounced on by Nicholas, who silenced the buzz.

I think everyone was excited for this victory, but sad to see the game come to a close.

Windows are open, so I'm sure there will be plenty ore opportunities for more fun!

THE CUTE!

It's hot here.  The big cats are all splayed out on the coolest spots on the floor or hiding in dark corners or under beds.  The little ones, no matter how the temperatures rise, don't seem to mind one bit, and you'll find them puddling and piling on warm, fuzzy rugs and in sunbeams.  It seems they seek out the hot spots.  

I don't get it, but I'm not complaining, because in these past few days I've witnessed some of the most adorable kitten puddles and piles I have ever seen.

Queen of the Cat Cave -- that's Dinah's self-appointed title.

She rules that roost.

She loves luring her siblings to her lair, then pounces on them or chases them away.

Again, and again, and again, and again.

Nicholas Dinichi Reporting for Duty

Usually it's Inspector Bean who's in charge of quality control when we're shipping out orders, but  Nicholas took an interest in the position, so we let him give it a try.




He smelled and tasted the batch of the prints we shipped out last week -- only toppling over the stack twice in the process.




Well done, young man.  Well done.

How about a little more Nicholas before we go today!   His baby kitten face is disappearing and now he's looking so mature! And handsome. My, is he handsome.

They're all growing too fast these days.  It's awesome, because it means they're good and healthy, but sad, because it means they're dashing to the two-pound mark!
