Snuggling Buddies

I spied this very precious photo of Malcolm and Greta Von Tussle on their mom's Facebook page the other day, and immediately asked her permission to share it.

Just LOOk at all this adorableness!

The kittens are doing great and their parents, Carrie and Billy, are enjoying them thoroughly.  I'm so these two were adopted together - they sure make a sweet little pair, don't they?

Thanks for letting me share this dear moment with everyone, Carrie! Give those kittens some love from all of us too, please!  

Malcolm and Greta's Goodbye

My friend Sarah had paid a few visits to our Von Tussles and was quite smitten with little Malcolm.  She was especially fond of his giant paws.




I would text her images of the dear boy from time to time, not because I was trying to encourage her to adopt him, she has a houseful already, but just because I knew she really liked the little guy.

During a haircut appointment,  Sarah was talking with her stylist Carrie, and Carrie shared how she and partner Billy had recently lost their cat Smokey to cancer.  He was a young cat, they loved him dearly, and his sudden passing truly broke their hearts.  Their home was feeling so empty without  him.

Sarah pulled out her phone and showed Carrie a photo of Malcolm that I had recently texted her, and told her all about the Von Tussle litter and the IBKC.   Shortly afterwards, Carrie sent me a message.  We made arrangements for a meet and greet, she came for a visit, and Carrie picked Malcolm and Greta.







In the brief time I spent with Carrie and Billy during their kitten visits and the adoption,  I could clearly see they do have lots of love to give,  and I'm so happy they adopted this pair.

Shortly after the adoption, Carrie posted this sweet message on Facebook:

I'm sure people will get sick of my cute kitten pics, but I can't help it! I don't do well in a home without critters and neither does Billy - they feed our souls.  Even though we both are still sad about losing our friend Smokey in August, these two are so stinkin' sweet, and I can't wait to get home to see them. The house feels like a home again.








We're so happy for Malcom, Greta, Carrie and Billy, and wish them a long, wonderful life together!

Trackball Champ

In the Kitten Olympics that takes place in our home each day,  Greta always takes the Gold in Trackball.  

She's fast and her timing is exceptional.  She'll keep the ball in motion for minutes on end.

Look at how she concentrates.  She's waiting for her turn here.  Malcolm has flopped on the opposite side of the track and the has delayed the game.

She can hardly wait to get her paws on that ball!

Hacking Cat

Remind me again, please.  What's the password? 

Wylla's New Boots

As I mentioned yesterday, they shaved a patch of fur off of Wylla's legs when searching for a vein for an IV catheter.

Here's her little naked chicken leg.  It looks like she's wearing a pair of mismatched Ugg boots.




I wanted to give her a little space while she recovered,  so the Von Tussles had to stay in their room when she first arrived home.  They camped out at the door hooping to get released, and fell asleep peeking under the door purring while they waited.

Cat House!

Our friend Chandler came by for a visit the other day, and while we chatted, she colored a cat house for the Von Tussles.  

A couple of more and we'll have a neighborhood!  And eventually, a whole kitty city!!
