It wasn't all that long ago that Harold and Monty Higgenbottom left our nest. As you'll see in the update, the boys are doing great, growing like weeds, and are absolutely adored by their family.
Just read what Allison, the boys' mama, has to say about their happy life together:
Update: Harold and Monty adapted quickly to our home and instantly connected with their two new human brothers, Dylan and Isaac. They love to play, climb and wrestle. The boys build cat play houses out of boxes for their new pets, hug and kiss them whenever they can and read to them before bed each night.
Harold sleeps with Dylan for the first part of the night and then finds Monty for some late night noisy play. Dylan and Isaac think Harold is a little like Garfield and Monty is more like a panther.
At first we thought Monty was the purr machine, but Harold has proved to be a contender in purr quantity and volume. I actually recorded Monty on my phone, so I can listen to kitty purrs whenever I need a lift. I shared it with a few colleagues at work to spread the love.
We've discovered that Harold likes to sleep on his back with his fuzzy tummy in full view. It's hard to pass by without giving him a belly rub. Both cats love to find high places to hang out, like on Isaac's top bunk. Though, one time Harold got himself stuck on a high windowsill and needed some help down. Monty seems a little wiser and cautious, but equally agile. He can jump really high, too.
They are sweet brothers. They clean each other, play hide and seek and other games, and cuddle all the time. It's especially adorable to watch them lick each other's face. One will hold the other's face in his paws and lick the other's whiskers, cheeks and ears.
Dan is home with them a lot during the day. They help him get his work done in the office and sleep on his lap whenever they can. I'm usually the first to rise, and they greet me with a joyful purr and early morning play. It's the best way to start my day. Needless to say, our hearts are full with these two cuties. We are incredibly grateful to have them as part of our family.
