Miss You, Midge!

Molly is new to the area, and a good friend of Jaimie and Ben, who adopted Sweet Evie.  She came to  the meet and greet when Jaimie and Ben picked their Kibblesmith, and was very, very tempted to adopt one of Evie's sisters, but thought the timing wasn't quite right yet.  She wanted to wait until after the first of the year, when life would settle down, and her cat Otis would be more adjusted to their new home. But when she saw those sweet Kibblesmiths, the seed was planted, and she knew she couldn't wait as long as she had hoped she would to adopt.

Shortly after the Von Tussles moved in,  Molly emailed to ask if she might be able to meet them.

And as soon as they were ready for visitors, she and Jaimie came for a meet and greet, and Midge was picked.

Midge left us a week ago Monday, and has settled nicely into her new life.  Otis, her new big brother, wasn't quite sure what to make of her at first, but now, he's quite happy to have a little sister.  He's even grooming her!

Molly is thrilled to have this playful, purring machine.

And we're so happy Midge found this wonderful home!

Even the Little One is Getting Big!

Once we got past the sickly, diarrhea phase of kittenhood,  all the Von Tussles began growing at a pretty good clip.

Even tiny midge, who was once just a smidge, is over a pound and a half.  We're grateful they're all so healthy and doing well.

It's not time for surgery yet, but they're inching up on that and before the month is out, we'll be saying our goodbyes.

What do you mean "goodbye"?

I assumed we would all be here together, forever.  All 8 cats under one roof.

FOREVER.

Hey guys, did you know about this?  No?  It's news to me, too.

Fierce Girl

That sweet little Midge turns fierce when we get out the feather wand.    Once her jaws lock onto that bird, it's not easy getting her to let go.   She gets all growly, her ears flatten,  toes are clenched, and if any of her siblings come too close, paws bat them away.

Thankfully, when we do manage it from  pry it from her grip, she instantly returns to her sweet self.

Best. Belly. Ever.

OH, dear little spotted squirrel, you have made my morning. Thank you for sharing your belly with us, Midge.  It is spectacular, and I love that your dots and dashes are multi-colored.  I've seen many kitten bellies in my day, and yours may just be the best one yet.

You've got a cute little wiggle there, too.

Just a Smidge

And you ask, "Who is that?  This smidge of a cat?"

It is Midge.
