Calling All Gray Kitty Fans!

Gray_Cats_BigCar_1

I know we've got a lot of gray kitty fans in the crowd (like Dan N, for example) so we put together a little gray kitty pack of postcards and they're now listed in the IBKC Shop!

Featured in this set are a floofy Langston Von Tussle, wide-eyed Lucille Plunkett, itty-bitty Hazel Swift,  a very plush Thelma Lyttelton, Fielding Mittenfloss with his corduroy cheeks, and very velvety Forrest and Pearl Mae Petrie!

If gray kitties make you weak, this set is for you!

The postcards are a nicely weighted stock with rounded corners and a lovely satin matte finish. On the back of the card there's a tiny photo of the featured kitten and their name too, so you know who is who. They're sold in a set of six cards (one of each design) and you can purchase them with or without envelopes.

We always offer a little bonus whenever we launch new design, so while supplies last, we'll be giving away a "Kisses the Kitten" postcard with each pack cards that your purchase.

We've also added more Sparkle Balls in the shop! We've restocked our usual color packs, added some Jumbo Packs of Sparkle Balls, and just in time for Saint Patrick's Day, we've listed some green and gold Charlene O'Butterbean Sparkle Balls for Lucky Cats and Kittens. We've got a very limited supply of the St Patty's day packs,  so please act fast if you want to pick some up for your cats!

Pearl's New World

DSC_0065

Back in the fall, Beegee said goodbye to a dear feline friend, Coda.   After some time and healing, she was ready to bring a kitten or two back into her life.    She watched our litters come and go, and followed  many other websites and rescues too, in hopes of finding kitties she could really connect with, just like she did with Coda.

In July, she found Makai at a kitty rescue up north and brought him into her life.   They've been quite happy together, but she was feeling they might be even happier if Makai had a little kitten friend.

Here's lovely Makai.

July 2012 (9)

When I introduced the Petries on the IBKC,  Pearl caught Beegee's eye.   She came for a visit, and it was clear Pearl was meant to be hers too.  A connection was made.

The Petrie boys all left Friday night, so for several days, we had Pearl all to ourselves.   We got to know her a little better, and enjoyed our time alone with her.

She is a dear, dear affectionate little girl and I know Beegee is going to adore her.  I'm sure Makai will love his new sister too.  You can't help but love Pearl Mae Petrie.

Bye-bye, goofy girl.   We are so are thrilled you found a mama who searched so long and hard to find her way to you.    You deserve to be with someone that special.

Thank you for adopting our girl Pearl, Beegee.     We wish you a long and happy life together.

Coming Soon!

I'm polishing up the story now and will tell you all about Pearl's new world in a bit.

Until then... a little clip of our girl just before she departed.

Pearl Posed

Here Pearl sits, posed with paws crossed.

This afternoon she'll be getting a little visitor.  Opal the Human (not Opal the Kitten) will be coming by to meet this little kitten she named.

We're all looking forward to her visit.

A Pearl of a Girl

I asked Opal the Human (not Opal the Kitten)  if she might be interested in naming a kitten from this litter and she was more than happy to oblige.   She took the job quite seriously, and thought hard about it for several days.

Because of her gray coat and gray eyes, Opal decided "Pearl" would be a good choice.   Pearl's middle name is Mae, just like Opal's.

Thank you Opal for giving it so much thought  and selecting such a lovely and fitting name for our little girl.

Ms Petrie, you are a Pearl, indeed.
