Dashing Dominick

DSC_1967

DSC_1969

The other day, I stopped by Dominick and Luigi's house. They're both getting bigger. Actually, they're huge. Dominick's coloring is really starting to change. His face and ears are much darker. All of his stripeys on his legs are much more pronounced. His markings above his eyes give him a perpetual furrowed brow.

One thing that's the same... his lovely baby-blues.

First Day, Last Day

Dominick Fortunato

The picture on the left was taken on the day Dominick and his siblings moved in. The one on the right is from the day he left.

He transformed from a baby-faced boy, into a sleek, handsome young man.

Bye-Bye Brothers... Farewell Fortunatos..

Leanne, who's a dear friend of my dear friend, came down to meet the boys last Saturday. She has a pair of seven year old kitty siblings, and had been giving serious thought into bringing a new little kitten into the mix.

When she met the pair she fell in love. She knew she wanted one for sure,,, and maybe the other too. She just needed to sleep on it first.

After a good night's rest and much thought she called and said she that two kitties would be much better than one. I agreed wholeheartedly, and of course, so did Dominick and Luigi!

Yesterday she came and picked up the precious pair. I think her only regret will be not taking them home with her last Saturday! They belong together,, and they belong with Leanne!

A Brief Encounter

DSC_1123

OOOPs. Sorry Drewey.

We usually sweep the main floor for kittens before the queen walks through. I thought they were all tucked away, but Mr Dominick was lurking in the shadows, and pounced out to greet the Drewster.

No swatting, but lots of huffin' and puffin'. Maybe it would of gone a little better if Dominick would of thought to bow first before introducing himself to the queen.

Where were your manners, boy?

Here are a couple more brief encounters Drewey had with the kittens:

Is This Duo for You?

DSC_1103

As I mentioned earlier, we still are on the hunt for the perfect home for two of the Fortunato Five. Yep, Luigi and Dominick have yet to find their family.

I'm trying hard to place these two together, so if you are living in the Seattle/Tacoma area and looking for a delightful pair of bouncing baby boy kitties, please send me an email today.

Now here's a little more about these delightful young lads:

DSC_0985

Luigi:
- Sweet, golden tabby boy.
- Loves sharing belly spots with anyone who cares to see them.
- Hardly says a peep, but always purrs.
- Always up for a wrestling match.
- Biscuits? Makes and takes.
- Loves laps.

Dominick:
- Hypnotic blue-eyed lynx point.
- Would play with his feather wand forever if you let him.
- Biggest of the brood, but he's not so tough. He lets out the sweetest little cries when he can't find his family.
- Excellent motor skills.
- Snugly sleeper.

The Hottest Day, EVER!

Yesterday was the literally hottest day ever. Seriously. It's was 103, and that broke the record here. Usually a hot day in a Tacoma summer mid 80's. Hardly anyone (except for Shana) has air conditioning around here so we all just have to sweat it out.

We spend a lot of time moving fans and shuffling kittens from room to room. We hide in the basement when we can. Walking around with a bag of frozen peas on your head helps too.

The kittens discovered the best place to cool their bellies is on the bricks in front of the fireplace, so that's where they took their afternoon nap.

Number One Son Has a Name!

DSC_0386

Eleanor was the lucky bidder who won the rights to name this oh-so-handsome lynx point lad. Thank you so much Eleanor, for your generous bid!!

Are you ready folks??? Introducing.... Mr.Dominick Fortunato !!!!!!!!

And yes, it suits him perfectly. Everyone is doing such an amazing job at picking the perfect names for our Fortunatos. How fortunate!

Here's a picture of Dominick and his yet-to-be-named brother, so you can do a little side-by-side comparisson. Domick (on the right) is a little bigger than his brother, but the pictue makes the difference a little more extreme.

Little brother's auction is stil going, so if you would still like a chance at naming a kitten, click here and place your bid.

This is fun!!! I love naming the kittens, but it's really fun not having to name them too!
