A Big Bunch of Clovers

Here's a big batch of Clover photos that didn't find their way into a post while they were still under our roof.

I had forgotten how tiny they once were!

A Home for Trixie!

DSC_0259

Trixie found herself a very nice home. Her new mama is Jamie, and she's got a very special big sister named Georgette.  Georgette was fostered by Sue, our dear friend from Pitter Pats of Baby Cats fame, and this kitten has quite a story.

She was found in a all by lonesome in a drainpipe and this tiny, soggy thing was brought into the shelter in very rough condition by a very kind man. She was on death's doorstep but thanks to Sue's tender loving care and our awesome vet staff at the shelter, Georgette survived,  thrived, and eventually was adopted by Jamie one year ago.

Georgette recently lost her big sister, so when Jamie began her hunt for another kitten, she contacted Sue first. Sue was out of stock, so she pointed Jamie towards our blog, and she immediately fell in love with Trixie!  We arranged for a meeting and the deal was sealed!

Jamie sent me a quick update and it sounds like things are going great for Trixie. She settled right in and made herself at home! She was a such a social and confident kitten, so it's no surprise she was able to adjust so quickly!

A big thanks to Sue for sending Jamie our way, and a big thanks to Jamie for adopting our dear Trixie and giving her a good, loving home.

Jamie promised us lots of updates. I look forward to a picture of Miss Trixie with her whiskers fully restored!

Wyllabath™

This is the fourth kitten litter Wylla has got to meet. With the first three, her role was just as playmate, but things have shifted, and now she's taking on a more nurturing role.

I don't know if it's because she's matured,  or if it's something she learned watching Bean, but in the past couple of weeks she's started bathing the babies. First, she would just try to lick their faces to get all of the scraps from breakfast, but it's advance to  pin-em-down and clean them end-to-end baths, just like Bean likes to give.

It's pretty sweet to watch. The kittens are always a little apprehensive at first, but they always enjoy it eventually.

One of our dear Clovers has left the nest, and the remaining two will depart tomorrow morning. We will miss them, of course, but we're quite excited for these dear kittens. Their futures are so bright!  On Monday I'll tell you more about the lucky families who are adopting them.

I've got some more to share with you today, so please stay tuned. I'll post again this afternoon.
