Best of Bellies

Who doesn't love a kitty belly?? This morning I put together a little collection of some favorite shots of belly-up kittens for you to virtually snorgle! Also in the mix are a few round belly profiles.  There are bellies of all sorts of patterns with dots, splotches, and dashes!  Something for everyone!

Enjoy!

  4. Oh my GOSH you posted Shrimp Louie and Eddie Lamm and Baxter Lamm all in a row and I nearly had a heart attack from the cute! Here's a funny thing: my big snowshoe Spike (the one who posted pictures of him in sinks on Charlene's FB page) has chewed off all of his long belly hair over the area where he has a shelter tattoo. The skin on his belly looks fine, he's left the undercoat peach fuzz so it's not unprotected, and he doesn't seem stressed. He just seems to have decided he wants to show off that tattoo. Have you heard of anything like this? If his skin were irritated, I'd take him to the vet, but all seems fine.

    1. My sister's cat did this for a long time and even though they didn't see any fleas on her (she's an indoor only cat), she started scratching too so they treated her for fleas. After that, she stopped overgrooming as much and her belly hair is growing back. The skin doesn't always look irritated.

    2. Thank you! I'll try flea treatment, and I've got some shea butter spray I can try for itchy skin as well. Spike says thanks!

  9. So wonderful! Thank you, Laurie! I think we all need a little floof and squee during these worrisome days. Floof and Squee: a great book title?
