For many months the cardboard kitty house was in the living room. I noticed the girls weren't spending much time in it, so I thought I would try it in a new location, and moved it upstairs.
They've worked it into their game of chase, and it's the "safe house" where they'll take turns catching a breath. Charlene needs to catch a few more breaths than Wylla, and has been spending more time in it than she ever has. There's only one door to the house, and pesky Wylla likes to block it and trap Charlene inside. It's been the site of many squabbles.
It's held up well, although someone has been gnawing on it. You can see "kitty staples" around all the window holes. I ended up reinforcing the house with clear packing tape because the girls kept collapsing it. That seems to have really help extend the life of it.
I now a lot of you purchased these houses too. Are yours still standing?
