We're Grateful It's Over!

The Gibsons were happy to see the end of a very noisy Fourth.  The poor little kittens were on edge all day long.

Today,  they've come out of hiding and are enjoying a nap on top of the bed.

They're happy, purring and relaxed kittens once again.

  1. Poor things. They had no idea what was going on. Was BB there to comfort them? They sure seem to be over it now.

  2. How does Charlene respond to the pyrotechnics? My old lady cat doesn't much care at all (and never did). She takes her cue from my nonchalance and as an indoor only kitty just goes about pretty much as usual.

  3. My indoor Maine Coons hate the fireworks - town display or the yutz down the street - doesn't matter. They need lots fo cuddles and some treats.

  4. Charlene does pretty well. SHe's not too jumpy - she just tucks herself away and waits for it to be over. The noise from the air show bothers her more than the fireworks do.

  5. I agree with the kittens--I'm really glad it's over! Too, too noisy...

  6. Double whammy with the air show and the fireworks, poor little kittens. They do look relaxed now, sweet babies.

  8. Such a precious pile of kittens! I'm glad they're recovering from all the noise. Our kitty has never been particularly bothered, fortunately, but I'm sure it was a Very Scary Thing for the little ones. And I can understand how scary air shows can be; we used to live near the Naval Academy, and every year the Blue Angels would fly over our house with afterburners kicked in. It sounded like World War III! It may be "the sound of freedom," but it's still awfully hard on pets of all kinds!

  9. So glad they were in a place they knew was safe, had met Charlene and they did the littermate pile.

Miss Marbles (15 now) seemed to mind the pops and whines that began at around 3 and went on past midnight... GAR!
