Have Tea with the Bean

As part of our fundraising auctions,  once again, we'll be offering "Tea with the Bean".   Last year we had a really awesome time with our guests Stevie and Kara.  You can read all about it HERE.

Here's a little bit about what we're offering...

The winning bidder of this auction, and a guest of their choice, will be joining the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee at our home in Tacoma, WA for a behind the scenes tour and a luncheon.

They'll get to meet Charlene Butterbean and the foster kittens residing in our home at the time of their visit.

We will serve a lovely vegetarian  (or vegan if you prefer) lunch, tea, and desserts.   After lunch, we'll head to the Humane Society for a little tour which will include the foster room, cattery, Petunia Louise Community Cat Room and the Charlene Butterbean Quarantine Room.  They'll also get to see the HS van that has Charlene's photo on it!

We'll send you home with some parting gifts too - and no, I don't mean kittens!

We'll take lots of pictures during your visit, and with the winner's  permission, share the story of the visit on the blog.

The winner and guest will be responsible for their own travel expenses.

Sounds like fun, huh?

To get in on the bidding action check out the auction HERE.

Happy bidding!!

  1. Laurie, ever since you started auctioning Have Tea With Bean, I've thought it was the funniest, most brilliant and most charming part of the IBKC FUNdraiser. It's just SO wonderful!

  2. It's a spectacular prize! This one would be worth a bidding war. . .

  3. Tea with the Bean, Laurie and the kittens, plus the tour - the most fabulous prize EVER!!!

  4. I peeked in on this just to see what the cost would be. Out of my reach, but I'm sure the winner will have a fabulous time as always.

  5. Oh I so wish I could afford to bid on this...I would love to meet Charlene, Laurie, Craig, and whatever itty bitties are in residence!

  6. I love that the teapot almost matches Bean's eyes.

  7. I guess I'll have to stick to virtual visits for another year - but I wish the best to all who bid, and know that the winner (and guest) will have a FABULOUS time with The Bean, Laurie and the kits! Good luck!

  8. Wow! What a great idea! Good luck to those bidding on this incredibly happy, fun and purrfect tea! I am way out here in New York state, so a bit of a commute, I am sad to say.

  9. I do hope this year's winners allow you to post photos of their visit again -- I may not be able to afford to bid on this myself, but it's so wonderful being able to participate vicariously! I hope you raise squillions of dollars just from this one auction, too! :)
