So, let's celebrate with a big batch of leaping cats!
Bean has always been a supreme leaper.
Even as a tiny kitten.
Of course those flying Batsels were great at grabbing air.
Bean suggests you take a leap, Thurston Easterbrook.
Those blurs are Warren and Dominick Fortunato.
Mitzy Jean Hopps, hopping.
Wendel Jefferson Hopps, flying.
Last, but not least, little leaping Lambert O. Lively.
Happy Leap Day, Everyone!!
Those are some pretty AMAZING leaps! WOW!
ReplyDeleteOMG, best post ever. I just can't stop laughing.
ReplyDeleteMy first smile of the day belongs to you.
ReplyDelete:) Thank you!
To quote my favorite word from Animaniacs, "Boingy! Boingy! Boingy! Boingy! Boingy!!"
ReplyDeleteI love it when kittens get old enough to jump/pouce! And the sideways dance cracks me up!
ReplyDeleteCharlene's got some powerful hind legs!
ReplyDeleteLove this post! But, you forgot my favorite leaper.... Curtis Furman, and his leap to the sink!

I love these pictures. Laurie you are such a gifted photographer. It's so great to see Charlene jump like that--it seems so unexpected for such an elegant girl.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to get my Blue flying today--he loves jumping so much and today is his day.
I wonder how Lambert is doing today. That clip still makes me laugh out loud.
ReplyDeleteLeapin' lizards, Laurie!! What an excellent post. I had no idea the Butterbean was such an accomplished gymnast. I'm embarrassed to say how much time I just spent watching these videos, but I do love the leaping kitties, and I'm with Kristen on the sideways dance - it gets me *every* time!!
ReplyDeleteGuaranteed smiles...Bouncing Baby Beanie, Beautiful Bounding Beannie, Leapin' Lambert et al
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see the 1st pic of the Batsels, I can imagine them leaping to this song, Treat her right, performed by the Commitments!:

Leaping Baby Bean killed me ded. *thud* To revive me, try headbonks. *grin*
ReplyDeletePretty darn impressive, Charlene! I've had 4 cats and none were/are leapers - so this is almost strange to me, hee hee!
ReplyDeleteWatching floofy Charlene take off is almost as unexpected as seeing a 737 plane take off - they both seem like they shouldn't be able to lift off! Thanks for the giggles, Laurie!
ReplyDeleteCharlene,
ReplyDeleteI never knew that you had the leap in you! Awesome!
Val
PS: I got my magnets yesterday. I introduced you to Da Boyz. After they attempted to bat and steal you, I put you in the honorable spot on the frig.
I love how the cats moved, pretty AMAZING!
ReplyDeletehave we seen Mr. Lambert all grown up? His foots look eeeenormous in that video.
ReplyDeletei can't stop laughing about little lambert! what a crazy cat! :)
