Meet Mr Fortunato

DSC_0115.JPG

Good looks run in the Fortunato family. This handsome tabby boy has the most amazing coloring. His coat is mostly bronze and golden with reddish undertones.

His eyes are huge pools of blue. He looks a tad sheepish in this picture, but he's not. He's warming right up to us and was the first of the litter to purr.

Just like his brother,, we're auctioning off the naming rights to this boy too.

Click here to read all about it and place your bid on this bachelor.

I feel fortunate to have met you Mr Fortunato, and I can hardly wait to get to know you a little better.

  2. He's giving Hubie Darling a run for his money in the Handsome Tab-boy department.

  3. Oh, he is DELICIOUS!! (NO, that's not a suggestion for his name, just an observation.) I'm racking my brain to see if I have something auction-worthy....otherwise, I may just make another donation. But "Fortunato"?? BRILLANT!

  5. A handsome boy alright!
Maybe the surname has something to do with tuna ...

  6. I like the tiny points of hair sticking up from his ears and the top of his head!

  7. Its LOVE all over again!

These kitties found the best place to start their lives out! Laurie and Charlene make sure of that!

And I found the place to manage stress...ALL DAY LONG!

  10. He's beautiful, and so is his brother. :)

How about "Don Juan Fortunato"? He's going to be a ladykiller for sure, with that face.

Get him on the phone bank--I sense a whole new crop of girlfriends standing by ready to make calls (and donations!)

  13. The Art Director for kittens has outdone itself once again. It makes me feel a little bit more calm even though today is weighty.

  19. Oh my gosh, this little one sounds beautiful! I second the name Eli, or Elijah, for him. :)

Ack! Now I've got that song stuck in my head too! Thanks, Darin. I've got it on CD around here somewhere, and I might just have to fish it out before the night's over... Nah.

  20. 16 Squillion passed! Wow! The Fortunatos are arriving at a special time in IBKC history. Good to hear they are all absorbing lessons in taking fundraising (and girlfriend) calls.

  21. He's gorgeous! I'd love to steal him! :D
I'm amazed at how high the bids are to name these sweet babies! GO IBKC fans! :D

  22. Hee hee! Yeah, as soon as I read Laurie's title, it was all I could think about.

Unfortunately, the only solution to a song's being stuck in your head is to get another one stuck in there!

How bout "What's up pussycat?" I sing it to my kits all the time. Although after "Pussycat, pussycat, I luv youuuuuu.... yes, I dooooo... You and your pussycat nose..."

The check cleared! One more donation, since I can't afford to bid on naming rights (that's a great thing for the cause!). Plus, I've got my fingers crossed for winning the postcard raffle!

  23. I have to say that "Snug" would be a great name, but I was thinking of "Vincenzo" -- "Vinnie", for short. His eyes have the warm, droopy look of all my Italian male relatives!

P.S. I have a friend whose real name is Marco Fortunato, but I just can't name a cat after Marco. :)
