That is definitely a "come hither" look...the head tilted downwards, the eyes looking up a bit, little pouty mouth...who could resist the gorgeous Mr. Clovis Ashby?
I've never posted before, but I read your blog every day! Thank you! It always makes my day.I'm wondering, do the new owners typically keep the kitties' original names?Dana
Hehe, dont look so mad kitty...
I have loved the look of this black kitten ever since you posted the first picture of him. Black cats have wonderful personalities, and are often overlooked when it comes to adoption. My own little black gal was the tiniest of her litter, but held her own with her two big brothers in all kinds of monkey business, and was the boldest and quickest to learn of the three! Someone's going to have a wonderful friend and companion in Clovis (a perfect name, by the way!)
Oh, Mr. Clovis, you are kitty perfection. Look at you in your classic kitty pose. It's hard to tell, but I don't think your tiny tail even reaches around to your paws yet. And speaking of paws, did all the glass cleaner come off your feet? Here's hoping you have a lovely day, 'cause you just made mine a whole lot happier.
Dana,, I would say that about 75% of our kittens have kept their names.
He's hypnotizing me..."you are getting very sleepy..."
What an absolutely perfect name you've been given, Clovis!
Oh lordy! My daughter had a beloved Clovis! This is perfect. I have to say that this picture of tiny Clovis makes me think of one of Eloise's (who lived at the Plaza) expressions, "feeling a bit sad between the arms".
How cute he is!! Look at these eyes....They are all very cute actually!Black cats are usually very clever. My sister has a little Reglisse (meaning liquorice in French) who is the cleverest cat I have ever seen: she opens doors, drawers, she hides her toys. An amazing little doll!
Oh, my! Totally irresistable!
he is the cutest thing i have ever seen!!!
Clovis has an irresistible ratio of head-to-body size. If I were in your position, Laurie, I'd carry this little one around with me all day.
oh my... those eyes could convince me to do anything he wanted!
Oh my goodness! Meowm just wants to scoop you up and snuggle you Clovis!!!!
You can almost see the gears whirling in his head. What sort of deliciously naughty thoughts are going through your head, Clovis honey???
OHMIGAWD! I love Clovis!!
Clovis! My, that's a very old deep Southern name!My doesn't he have the Valentino "come hither IMMEDIATELY" look?
And he's put on his best white eye-liner to emphasize those come-hither eyes. "Come away with me, and our life together will be perfect bliss. You will rub my tummy as I lie in your lap, and we will wile away the evenings to the sound of my manly purrs." Nobody could resist!
Oh, Clovis! Wait for me... I'm on my way! (I wish!)
I've always wanted a little black cat. And I love the name Clovis. He is such a sweetie.
I like that if you look close he has this sly little smile going on - the eyes are all serious but the mouth says he is a clever one. They are all so cute and the names are all so great!
And now Clovis. OK, I can't take anymore of this!! They're too much. And, as always, the names are wonderful (but it sounds like Craig's got a kitty crush on Bunny!).How is Charlene taking the new ones, and vice versa?
Hey Mr Clovis cuty kitty, please stop being sooo cute... - Jeanne
OMG soooooo dreamy!!!!
Awww...we had two black cats when I was growing up, so I have a great fondness for the critters!
Pleased to meet you, Clovis! Such a handsome devil you are.
Clovis, I am pleased to make your acquaintance!I think you have been continuing to plot and scheme since leaving a smudgy path on that glass table the other day.You will truly enjoy your time with IBKC - the adoration is coming in your litter's direction!
awww - his come hither look is melting my heart! What a handsome little man :)
The dripping sound you hear is my heart, melting. . . Oh Clovis, what eyes!
Hello Tiny Man!
Black kitties are my favorite!I've always wanted one, and I had one (Familiar) for awhile, but I couldn't afford to keep him, and my Angel was having a hard time adjusting. I still miss him & can't wait for the day I can have another black kitty! Clovis's smile makes me happy!
I need to boop his nose. NEED, I tell you.
He's definitely at least half elf! Those ears and the spellbinding look in the eyes...
Ooh Clovis...you look like you'd like to snuggle!
Seductshons... Look out girls!
It looks like he's wearing blue eyeliner! What a sweetie.xoxo KB
Is it tomorrow yet?? Tomorrow is Meet Charlene Day isn't it?!? So exciting!and Happy Birthday Charlene!
OOh! I love this little person! I have 4 black cats-once 4 little black kittens-and they drive me crazy! I love them so much! Wish I could take more!
