  2. Awww! You can see the change in color from his misty little eyes. Kittens growing up is always kinda fun to watch. My kitten went from an all black short haired to a long/medium hair black cat with a dusty colored mantle. I hope all the itty bitties have a then and now pictures as they leave!

  5. We have a cat at the shelter that has a permanent head tilt. She is the cutest, just like Mr. Porter here.

  6. Ahh - Porter, SirPork Chop

You have one of the sweetest head tilts and floofiness that can't be beat.

May you have a life full of loves and purrfection! Your furrever home will be a place where you will be treasured.

I agree with kit - PLEASE provide then\now pix...it is interesting to see what has changed and remained the same over the time we all get to know the IBK's

  8. I could nibble that Porkchop all up! His darling head-tilt and serious expression make him look like quite the intellectual!

  12. Aaah, Porter, how you have grown. But you still have that gentle, befuddled expression that marks you out as an utter darling. I will miss you when you go to your new home, but it has been an honour to see you growing up!

  13. THANK you for that! What a sweet and precious boy. I wonder what would happen if you were to very perlitely request each new Forever Home send back a one-year picture to you? Wouldn't we just LOVE to see *this* kind of before-and-after pictures with a follow-up of the young teenager kitties? LUCKY people, who are making the secure nest for our Porkchop.....

  15. Oh, Pork Chop, you're going to be a heartbreaker the rest of your life! Lucky forever parents!!

I agree, one year pics would be wonderful! We're talking about that here for our Space Kittehs who went to their forever homes in Sept (I work at STScI and we found a pregnant stray on the grounds). I kept mama, five of the bebes were adopted by co-workers and two by my niece and nephew so everyone is looking forward to photo reunion, come July.

  16. Sweet, sweet Porkchop. He is growing up to be such a handsome boy! I imagine he'll still be a heartbreaker when he's a big boy too. And what a thrill, Foster Mama Kim brought him into the shelter last week, it was a pleasure to finally meet him!

As for finding homes for big kitties, Laurie does include a featured shelter kitty on her blog each week. So, yes, I believe it does help. One more plug for the biggies ~ sweet Kissy Girl and handsome Robbie found their new forever homes yesterday!! YAY!!!

  17. I love, love, LOVE these pictures! What a darling lil cutie pie! I wish I could take all the kitties home with me!!

I adopted my cat from a local group called Lucky Cats. They set up at the PetSmart every weekend... so I always go pet the purty kitties and try not to cry that I can't have any more. Two dogs, a cat, a fiance' and a part-time almost step-daughter in our apartment is enough for the time being...

Can I ask, are you using a tripod for your shots since there is obviously no flash being used? Or is there uber amounts of light/windows in the room where you are shooting? I have a tough time getting good shots of my cat... plus she runs when I point the camera at her... lol!
