The Truth About Fergus

Fergus is probably the most affectionate kitten I have ever met. LeRoy is a very close second. He loves climbing up under your chin. He'll rub his fluffy little body against your neck, back and forth, again and again and again while doing a fabulous two-tone purr. One is your low, standard kitty purr. The other is a higher squeaky excited purr. It's like he's saying "Hi, I love you, I love you, hi, hi, do you love me? hi, hi, I love you. Gee you're warm. I love you." It's quite charming.

Eventually he'll settle down and fall asleep on your shoulder or chest, but it can go on for quite some time. He's very sweet. and well,,, he's now spoken for. That's right, he found a mommy and daddy this past weekend. Two others (and I am not telling which ones yet) have found homes too. You'll just have to wonder and wait for a while.

Fergus hasn't made weight. He must be two pounds to be fixed, and must be fixed to be adopted. So he's not going anywhere yet,,, but soon... he's 1 pound 14 ounces!

  2. This is very exciting news. I'll bet all these babies will have great homes soon. NOW: I have to say that if my Precious Porter Pot Pie is one of those who's been adopted, or, when he does have prospective parents, you'd best tell them that his real family is in Richmond VA and has psychic powers that will only allow Porter to be the recipient of total love and adoration. Otherwise, the deal's off.

  3. Ah, but shouldn't you update the pics of available kitties in the sidebar? (This is my sneaky way of finding out who is spoken for.)

  6. Wonderful!!!! So glad to know that this batch is starting to get their homes, where they will doubtless call the shots in 10 seconds flat (and that includes getting out of the carrier).

Let's hope that they send updates and pictures, it's so wonderful to hear about IBKC alumni.

  8. I'm just thankful that I'm not the one who has to tell Charlene that Fergus is going to his new parents' house. ;-)

[[whimper]] for those of us who have become so attached to the Mayfields!

How does Miss Charlene respond or cope as her "litters" depart for their new forever homes?

Sigh...I wonder who the others are....I will be watching...

  12. Yay! for Fergus! How I'll miss his sweet little face, but know that he'll be snorgled and loved extensively - giving the same in return. A purrfect situation!

  14. oh, that's what I get for letting a day go by without checking! I do hope that Fergus' lucky people will provide pictures now and then as he grows. I'm not surprised - when we say the Holsteins are "irrestistable", that's *literal*. You know if any of us lived closer they'd be spoken for INSTANTLY. (Be good, wee Fergus; you're a wonderful kitty and your people are so lucky!)

  16. Awww, yay Fergus! It's wonderful that he's getting adopted, but lordy I'm going to miss him! He sounds like an absolute doll kitten. I love super-affectionate kitties, and that purr of his would just melt me into a puddle, I have no doubt. His new person is *lucky!*
