Sunshine Summit
Come gather in the sunshine boys and warm those little ears! It never takes long for kittens to figure out the joy of the sunshine patch!
The Five Fellows have been busy discovering all sorts of things. I drug out a little cat tower and placed it in the middle of the rug for them and they are learning how much they love to climb. And they figured out they can jump from the back of a living room chair and land on the dining room table! They're getting really good at figuring out how to get onto high surfaces, and I think it's only a matter of time before I'm fishing them off of the fireplace mantle or plucking them from the chandelier. They are all so smart and determined. Well, except for Robin. He's a lover, not a thinker.
Emmet has been OBSESSED with slipping out the front door and if you are moving in that general direction, he will dash ahead and beat you there. We have to be so careful coming and going now. I guess he got a taste of the great outdoors in his early days and now he's wanting more.
I'm working on the FUNdraising set, and I think I'm going to have to make things extra strong and sturdy so the set can survive their shift -- these guys play so hard!
So, yes! The big FUNdraiser kicks off next week! I can hardly believe it's that time of the year already! We'll be carrying on some old traditions, and I've got lots of new ideas, too. I promise it will all be a whole lot of fun and we'll (hopefully) raise a whole lot of squillions for our beloved shelter cats and kittens. The Five Fellows will take the first shift on the phones, the midway through we'll be getting some new opurrators. Oh, my. I can't wait! Are you guys excited too???
You guys are always some great about spreading the IBKC word, and as we gear up to raise money for the shelter, this the time of year we need it most. So please, invite your friends to follow us along right here on the blog, on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Thank you so much!

A construction theme for the set, perhaps? It won't look funny if you have to reinforce it, and it fits a bunch of rowdy furry brats.
ReplyDeleteAnd ... if you ever have to pluck them off the chandelier, you do understand that pictures are obligatory, right? ;)
ReplyDeleteDear Robin, "a lover, not a thinker." :))))) How exciting that the FUNdraiser is upon us!! I always look forward to seeing what you have in store, and watching the itty bitties take donations.
ReplyDeleteI've *really* been enjoying the Fellows' antics on Instagram. Kittens are always lively and entertaining, but these boys even more than usual, plus there are five of them! :D
ReplyDelete(I remember "Kittens of Mass Destruction" once before...hmmm...!)
What's not to love about a sun patch? It's a treat, seeing pics of the little ones trying to figure out how all five of them can enjoy the sun. I'm not worried, though; they're cats; they'll make it work. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love a backlit kitten.
