"Mothers"

DSC_3854.JPG

I can't recall which kitten in the photo above is, but I do know it's a Mayfield. They were one of our very early batches, and as you can see, Bean took to "mothering" right away. The same thing happened when Wylla met her first kittens, too.

I love how nurturing comes naturally to our girls.

In honor of Mother's Day,  I thought I would put together a collection of photos of Charlene and Wylla and their mothering ways.  They're a sweet reminder that you don't have to give birth to be a mom.

Cheers to all you nurturers out there! Thank you for all the love you put out into the world.

  7. Awww, I love them all too. How about a set of cards with one of the "mothers" and one of the kittens that would be good for Mother's Day or mom's birthday?

  12. Charlene and Wylla raise 'em right! Blood relationship doesn't have anything to do with what makes someone a good mother. Heck, I've seen male cats who are top notch nurturers and caretakers, so a 'mother' doesn't even have to be female. ;)

  13. If only mothering and nuturing came as naturally to human mothers , as it does to these to girls !!
