The Fishkin Twins will play with absolutely any toy you put in front of them, but the one they love the most is this pom-pom pictured below. The ball is attached to a wand with a bouncy wire, and when you wiggle it, it moves in an unpredictable manner, so it's really fun to try to catch.
Once they do catch it, they sink their teeth into that pom-pom and hold on with all of their kitten might! If anyone comes near, there are growls that are both ferocious and ridiculous.
Mostly ridiculous.
You're a silly kitten, Sid Fishkin.
Swoon. I have FOUR - stop enabling me! ;)
ReplyDeleteMy 11 year old Maine Coon, Milo, has an orange pompom with a black elastic attached that he's OBSESSED with. He holds the pompom in his paw and flicks the elastic a few times, throws it and then chases it. I often hear him playing with it in the hallway at night. "Whick, whick, whick..." It's super cute and endearing.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! That pom-pom is as big as your head, Sid!! At least you got a piece of it, you fierce thing.
ReplyDeleteI dreamt that I adopted Fishkin boys, which is too funny because I already have too full of a cat household. But, in the dream, they perked up all my semior girls...
ReplyDeleteBeware! House panthers are known for their ferocity!
ReplyDeleteSlowly the House Panther stalks the unsuspecting pompom prey....then...attack!
ReplyDeleteMost amusing on the Friday - thanks!
Is it just me or are these little Fishkins exceptionally adorable, even by the standards of tiny house panthers growing up with Charlene and Wylla?
ReplyDeleteIt is not just you! (Although we're known to say that about all the kittens, haha.)
DeleteAlso - look at those eyes. Is it dead yet, Sidney? \@/.\@/
Aww! This is too cute. Keep up the great posts :)
ReplyDeleteHenry
Sid's feerceness, his tenaciousness is a glorious thing. The last photo is a winner. He looks So Proud of himself. All the photos are winners. The series would be wonderful posted on a wall.
ReplyDeleteThose ears are splendiferous!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Sid won that battle. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI would love to know the name of this toy or a link where I can buy it! I have a boy who would absolutely flip over it!
