A Recheck with the Vet
On Tuesday, I suited up Wylla in her harness, we hopped in the car and headed off to our vet for a recheck.
Wylla wasn't too thrilled with the car ride and let out a few peeps and cries on the way over there. She's not the easy rider she once was!
Doc gave her a good once-over and took a urine sample. Wylla is doing great. The sample revealed a few bacteria still, but the antibiotics seem to be doing their job. We'll continue with those for another week, then go back for another recheck.
After we were all done in the examination room, we came out to pay the bill and Wylla roosted on the counter. All the staff gave her a little loving and said goodbye. They are always so sweet to our girls and give them lots of attention and affection whenever we visit. I do appreciate how much sweet they are to Wylla and Charlene --they sure do care about their patients!
Wylla's urine was a little thick which means she needs to take in a little more water. I've been adding more water to their wet food and refresh her water dish whenever she's in the kitchen with me. She likes that and always laps a little as soon as I place her bowl on the floor.
Hopefully, this infection was just an isolated incident and our little girl won't have to go through this again! When she was feeling low last week, she had the same expression on her face that she wore when she was a sick kitten. I didn't like seeing that face again -- I much prefer the "healthy Wylla" face.
Thanks again for all of the good thoughts for our girl! You all are the best! oxooxoxox
