THE CUTE!

It's hot here.  The big cats are all splayed out on the coolest spots on the floor or hiding in dark corners or under beds.  The little ones, no matter how the temperatures rise, don't seem to mind one bit, and you'll find them puddling and piling on warm, fuzzy rugs and in sunbeams.  It seems they seek out the hot spots.

I don't get it, but I'm not complaining, because in these past few days I've witnessed some of the most adorable kitten puddles and piles I have ever seen.

Just take a look at THE CUTE!

    1. AND you love them!

Right? If not you may impair the development of their O so fragile egos! :)

  2. Wylla was a cold kitten, wasn't she? Maybe it's the lack of body fat or a higher metabolism. Maybe they're just trying to cheer the rest of us up while we're hot. The paws-up picture is my favorite!

    1. I think Wylla's chills were aggravated by the Mega-esophagus related issues of managing her food intake and her ability to keep it digesting. Until that stabilized she was a heat-seeking gal.

    2. OK, gotcha. I'm so glad she's better. and I, too, fail to understand how my uber-furry cats can enjoy being outside in the middle of August. My mother says the fur acts as air conditioning but I can't even begin to understand that.

  3. Oh yes, I don't understand this seeking out of warmth when it's this hot out. My 2 year old cat keeps wanting to cuddle with me before it's cooled down. (I'm in Corvallis, Ore. w/o AC). Drives me nuts.

  6. So is this your version of a potato latke?
Taters sprawled all over...Looks like Russell's Super Power is being a kitten pillow spotted belly up.

  7. Russell needs to get bigger/longer so all 3 can share his belly pillow! Absolutely adorable.

  8. I don't normally pick favorites - and cannot now.

Russell's belly is fab, but Tegan's impish cuteness slays me, Nicholas the Assistant Inspector Tabby and Miss Dinah....the tortie taters is too much!

  9. Tegan must be delicious; everyone seems to like chewing on her.

  10. I wish they could relax a bit. I know it's Monday, but still, kittens, chill out already.

On a non-sarcastic note, I am having kitten fever and the only treatment is more Tegan. Please help.

  11. I love all the pictures, but especially Dinah resting her chin on Russell's belly and the last shot where everyone is draped on Russell.

  12. I hope that Dinah and Spud find a home together. They always look extra snuggly with each other and they remind me in looks of my Clara and Sophie.

  13. It's a good thing the warm fuzzies don't actually have a temperature or I'd be running a fever right now. So much cute!
