Gone Bananas

I brought home a couple of kitty toys for Nigel and Mimsey. One of them was a catnip banana, which is a favorite at our house.

I gave the banana to Nigel, and tossed the other toy, a furry red ball, to Mimsey. She abandoned the ball quickly and wrestled the banana away from Nigel.

So, I got online and ordered a second catnip banana. They made it clear they needed two.

Here's Mimsey on a catnip banana high.

  1. haha. In my house, I could buy 50 and my two kitties would fight over the "ONE" they both want! :o/

  2. I don't know what it is about those bananas. Our two love them and we had to eventually buy another because they didn't want to share. Both are very possessive about theirs!

  3. The catnip banana is a big hit at my house. It seems to be just the right size for biting and kangaroo kicking.

    1. They are our former foster kittens who were adopted by my parents. See Friday's post.

  5. I probably asked this before, so please indulge my feeble mind. Where do you get those bananas?

    1. It's made by Yeowww and you can find them on Amazon and many pet stores. They're all over the place.

  8. Hmm.... I should probably get a new catnip banana... the one I found this morning is a little "ripe," as in brown and mushy... It is a much loved toy!

  11. Riza likes to carry her catnip banana around the apartment while howling triumphantly. Said banana is looking rather disreputable these days, thanks to all the slobber stains.

  12. I give catnip bananas to all of my feline friends every Christmas/Hanukkah, they are usually pretty beat up a year later when the next gift comes. In multiple cat homes, each cat gets their own because there is NO SHARING! Not sure why they are so popular but I receive many head-butt thank you's!
