Treats, Not Towers!

Hey Mom? Can I borrow your credit card for a minute?

I need to order a few things.

Nothing major, I just noticed we were running a little low on treats.

We only have the salmon ones left, and you know I prefer chicken.

I can use the card??!!  Thanks Mom! I promise I'll only order a couple of bags.  Oh, but they're cheaper by the case.

And maybe we need a new toy. Or a heated bed? No, no, no, Mom said "just treats".

Let me see, Bean. Wow! Look at that 8-foot kitty tower!  How high are our ceilings? Let's get one of those!  Or two! One for upstairs, one for the main floor.

Wait a minute, Wylla. Those things are like $1200.  I don't think mom would approve of that.

Oh, Charlene. she wouldn't even notice, would she?

And if she did, we COULD  just send it back, right?  Couldn't we, Bean?

If I order now, and pay a little extra for "RUSH" service, we could be napping on it by tomorrow afternoon.

Hmmm.

  1. As a kittenish cat, Wylla is entitled to whimsy.

  2. The problem I see is that when it arrives, you would have more fun playing with the boxes than the item itself.

    I know my cats would...

  5. I definitely think your mom would notice that tower, Wylla. Kind of hard to sneak something that large past her, know what I mean? ;D

  9. I seem to recall your mom saying something about the relatively small rooms in your house. You might need to have her move some of the furniture out to accommodate these.

  12. Laurie, you are an amazing story teller! This post is just hilarious!

I'd LOVE to have the $$$ and space for that amazing cat tower. I think the boys would love it too.
