Not Yet

I know you're all itching to see more kittens, but we're not going to be bringing in a batch quite yet.  I'm going to be doing a little traveling, so the kittens will have to wait until after I return.

I think Wylla and Charlene are fine with that.  That last batch was exhausting, and a little quiet time might do them some good.

I'm going back to the Midwest to visit my family, so I'll be able to share a couple of Nigel and Mimsey updates while I'm there.  My plan is to blog lightly while I'm away and concentrate on spending time with family.  I'll update every now and again, but it won't be the normal schedule.

Bean and Wylla will be staying home with Craig, and catching up on naps missed while Von Tussle-ing.  The girls love their dad,  so I know they'll be happy spending quality time with him.

If you need a kitten fix while we're on this break, please dive into the archives and visit some of our previous litters.   There's lots to explore there!

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

xo Laurie

Have a wonderful trip! I lived away from my family for 20 years and know how important "visits home" are.

    Safe travels.

  3. Have a wonderful trip, Laurie! The best description I ever heard of Iowa was from a Dar Williams song: "bosomy." Before you go, will you tell us where that AWESOME quilt is from???

  6. Have a great trip, Laurie! I always enjoy hearing how Mimsey and Nigel are doing.

And even world class kitten wranglers like yourselves need a break from the itty bitties from time to time. I hope the time off is relaxing and refreshing for all four of you.

You've done so much for us, sharing pictures of your fosters, your lives, your family. If you want to forget about blogging while you're visiting your family, that's fine with me.

Also (in case I didn't suggest this before) the Davenport Farmer's Market has this great stand that sells flavored dried pasta in dozens of different varieties. I'm not sure if they'll still be there this late in the year. I just like wandering around these markets to look.

Have a fun and relaxing trip!

  9. Enjoy your trip back to Iowa. Question - did you pick the cat to go with the quilt or the quilt to go with the cat?
Can't wait for a Mimsey & Nigel update!!!

  10. Have a lovely time with your folks. We all understand the "downtime" needed with what you do. Looking forward to the snow kitties updates. (Nigel and Mimsey always look like snow kitties to me!)

  11. Please pass along happy greetings to your folks. And their fur-charges Nigel & Mimsey.

I am curious who will be more content back here in Tacoma. Craig will surely be catted by his girls and that will be some awesome down-time for all. A 6-pack of kittens seems to be a much, much bigger project than 4. But Charlene, Wylla and y'all enjoyed the chaos and you earned a rest.

    Safe journey!

Have a wonderful vacation, Laurie! The kitties look like I do when we've had a house full of company. Wylla looks so relaxed- she has her toes curled like India does... I hope you see lots of fall leaves and have a great visit.

  18. Oh, you so deserve time off, and we’ll be *fine* while you’re gone. Please give my love to your mom and dad and snuggles to the Frosts.

Maybe Craig or Charlene can take a turn at blogging a time or two. I’m sure that’d be interesting. :))
