Wylla's Walking Too!

Since her early days, we've been harness training Wylla. She's a pro when it comes to traveling, and has accompanied us on shopping excursions and neighborhood walks, to farmers markets, flea markets, bicycle races and even a vintage camper rally.  She loves riding on our shoulders and taking the world in.

This Saturday, Wylla will be suiting up and joining us for her biggest walk yet - Dog-A-Thon, and we wanted to invite you to join us!

Our plans are to arrive at Ft Steilacoom park in Lakewood, WA at the start of the event,  between 9 and 9:30 AM  We'll mingle a bit and visit the vendors, then begin walking around 10:30.  If you're able to join us, please gather by the Humane Society Dog-A-Thon registration area shortly before 10:30, and  we'll walk from there. We'll be easy to spot - just look for the folks waving pro-kitty signs, and look for Wylla, who will be perched upon someone's shoulders.

AND if you want to join in and gather some donations for Dog-A-Thon, it's not too late to start!  Just pop on over to the HS website to get started.   It's easy and there are fabulous prizes for the participants!

PLEASE say that Ninja Bob will be back for the walk. We all went nuts for Bob last year. He is just precious. Ninja Bob gives me life!!

    1. He'll be there at the Northwest Spay and Neuter Center's booth, but I'm not sure if he's walking. His handler is on crutches right now.

  6. Wait -- Wylla's been out on flea market shopping adventures?!! Oh! I wish she could be my personal flea market shopper -- Wylla, pick up vintage paper items, like greeting and post-cards, 1920s-1950s, animal-themed, specically cat-themed, would be great! Thanks!

  11. I was really, really hoping that Wylla was going to go with you to the walk! I'm very happy to hear it and cannot wait to get her news report on all the people and animals she's going to meet! I wish I had harness-trained Jonah or Daltrey when they were small so I could take them out. Daltrey turns into flat cat when I put on her harness. Poor sweetheart! :-) Love, Darin
