Be Proud.

I knew we would do it.  And I knew I would cry when it  happened, I always do.    I can hardly see the screen because my eyes are so blurry, so I'll just peck away with the hopes of hitting the right keys.

I don't know I'll ever be able to adequately express the deepness of the gratitude that I have for all of you.

Your willingness to give so much and so many times to our fundraiser means the world to me.   We have raised over $78,000 , which is a tremendous amount,  and it will go so far to help the cats and kittens at the shelter.

I'm siting on the couch, and next to me are five Gibson kittens in a puddle.  They can't cheer, but they're purring loud.

They're purring for us.

Be proud, your actions will make a difference in the lives of many homeless animals.

  1. Somewhere in Iowa I'm betting a couple of proud parents are cheering right now. You have, with astonishing talent, brought people from all walks of life and all over the world together just for the joy of watching kittens and the Bean. The gift of this place is so much more than our donations can ever match.

  3. It's not an exaggeration to say your site and the work you do bring me a lot of joy every day. I wish I had more than $10 to spare for the itty bitties and all the other cats.

    1. It's not the amount of any one donation, but the power of all donations--big and small. Pat yourself on your back. Your $10 along with all the other $10s works wonders.

  9. Look at the list of teams with IBKC #1. It's fair to say that because of Laurie ans IBKC this fundraiser will be a massive success. Without her... a mild success!!!

  10. So amazing! I don't know how you will sleep tonight (the kittens I'm sure won't have a problem though!). But rest up so you can hold your head high wearing that crown at the walk tomorrow! *hugs*

  13. This is just so wonderful! I can't wait to find out what the grand total is, with all the other things added in -- auctions, posters, etc. You really are an amazing woman, Laurie -- you may not want to take the credit, but trust me, it's YOUR doing that causes so many people from so many places to want to make a donation to your shelter. Thank you for the joy you've spread out way, with the kitties, and the opportunity to repay you and your shelter with our donations! Wear that tiara tomorrow with pride, and we want LOTS of photos! :)
