Number Four!

Here he is, our little buff boy!  Congrats to the 14% of you who guessed correctly!!

He's adorable, isn't he?   And he's sweet too.  And driven.    It is his life's purpose to break out of the kitten room.

SO, now you've had a peek at the whole little litter. Tomorrow we'll see more of them, and I'll start sharing their names.

  1. He's lovely--my friend Jane calls this colour Champagne gold (she has two buff siblings)

  2. Oh he's so handsome. Champagne gold is a great description!!

  3. ooh, so sweet - and judging by the size of his paws, he's gonna be a big guy! I love that he is so anxious to begin exploring the world!

  4. Why do I have a feeling that this litter is going to be a handful?

  5. He looks all sweetness and light... the sure sign that he will be a little tinker!! =^..^.

  6. Hey, for once I was right:) Hi cutie.

  7. ...More of them...??!! Squee alert! The first four are adorable, how many more can there be?! Can't wait for the naming!!

  8. I wanted a buff boy, but didn't think it would be... My now 13 y/o buff boy couldn't be contained either. Yay for buff boys!

  9. oh so adorable - sorry if you can hear the *squeeing* from where you are

  10. OK, he's my new favorite ever. I think it's because the first picture makes him look like a little girl standing in first position in ballet class.

  11. He is not a number, he is a cat.

  12. in a soft tone ((ooooooooohhhh))

I do not want to disturb those deep, deep kitten thoughts in the second photo!

  13. Oh my, what a cutie!

And, such an unusual coat color (at least among the cats I've known). Quite a dapper young man, and still just an itty bitty.

  14. Well, I guessed tortie twin, and couldn't be happier to be wrong. This little fellow is adorable!

Could be my imagination, but I think in the second pic he's plotting his escape from the kitten room...

  15. Awwww, he looks soo innocent and adorable just like my big buff boy did as a kitten!! <3 My Cody also had big paws as a kitten and is now 14 lbs of fluffy adult cat goodness. Sweetest cat ever with a touch of mischief for spice!

  16. He's a neat little guy! I had one this color once, many years ago. He was a real tough nut - the first attack cat I had ever come across!

  17. I luff heem! Those orange tabbies are trouble!

  18. Aaahhhhhh!! So sweet and cute and every other adjective ever applied to itty bitty kitties!!

Like Lynda, I guessed tortie twin, but now that I see this sweet determined little buff man cat, I also couldn't be happier to be wrong :)

  19. It's nice to be right sometimes. :)

  20. I knew it had to be. Tortie's always have madcap orange/buff brothers.

  21. @James - maybe his name is Rover!

  22. Psssttt.... hey "James", what are you talking about? I think you're barking (er... meowing!) up the wrong tree! If there's anyone on this earth that doesn't treat cats as simply numbers, it's Laurie!! The care she puts in to naming each and every one of her feline charges is well documented. Just look at the links all up and down the page!! I don't want to bring down the civil and cheery tone of these comments, but that "He is not a number, he is a cat" comment has really been bugging me all day! There... I shall now step off my soapbox :)

  23. If I was a cute little buff kitten and knew that the floofilicious Charlene was outside of the kitten room, I'd be plotting my escape at all times, too.

  24. Do I get a prize for guessing right? What a cutie!!!

  25. @HeidiK - I thought James was referencing the British show "The Prisoner" where the main character is always trying to escape and saying that he is not a number, he is a man.

  27. Oops, see that Anonymous 6:31 am beat me to it. Though to be fair "The Prisoner" aired in the '60s, so some of the young'uns could easily miss James' reference. Cracked me up though.

  28. @HeidiK - Anonymous and MsKitty got it. I felt the 'free' part of the quote went without saying for cats. They are naturally resistant to being pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. I'd never accuse Laurie of being less than a fantastic caretaker of cats.

  29. Aha!!! I humbly beg your pardon, @James... I'm not the youngest of young'uns, but the reference did totally sail over my head. So, and not for the first time, I'm glad to be wrong!! And now I'm a little more pop-culturally enriched too :)

Three cheers for our little "prisoner"!!

  30. my God!!!! I wish I could have such a red one))))
