Bye-Bye Batsels!

DSC_0227 Their stay was brief, but those dazzling Batsels just leapt right into our hearts, and we all fell head-over-heels for them.

We're missing them terribly, but they all found excellent families, and I know they're happy as can be.

Priscilla and Claudius moved in with a pair of empty-nesters who are working on filling up their nest once again.  The kids are all gone, so Jackie and Steve started by adopting a puppy, and now they're adding two Batsels to the brood.

They'll have their hands full, I'm sure, but that sounds like a whole lot of fun, and I think they're up for the challenge.

On Monday, I got an email from Sarah.   Sarah is a friend of Carmen (Sheldon and Pearla Dearborn's mom).  She said she was in the market for a pair of Tabby kittens.   I emailed her back instantly to to say "Oh, do I have a pair of Tabbies for YOU!".

We arranged a  meet and greet for that evening.

Sarah came down with her boyfriend, and they were quickly charmed by dear little Clifford and Barnum.  We filled out the paper work, and off they went!    It all felt like it happened so fast, but it was time.   The boys were getting big, and we hate for our adopting families to miss out on those precious kitten days.  They grow So fast.

DSC_0053 DSC_0058 Bye-bye, Batsels.   Thank you for coming into our lives.  We are so lucky to have met you, and look forward to hearing about your further adventures.

  3. Bye sweeties!
I'm always so happy to hear when they go to their forever homes in pairs... I imagine it makes the transition so much easier for them.

Good luck little ones, let us know how you're doing.

  4. So happy to hear they have great homes and even happier they are in pairs. Like another poster I just imagine it makes leaving Queen Bean and Laurie and Craig easier when they go together and explore their new home.

And I won't mention names but let's just say that last picture looks as if someone got a goodbye licking bath from the Queen.

    Bon voyage Batsels . . .

  5. What great news (or mews!). I am so glad they are leaving in pairs and it sounds like they have such lovely families. It was a short stay but a very sweet one. Thank you for sharing these lovely kitties with us, thank you, dear Batsels for your hard work with the fundraiser and thank you Laurie, Craig and Bean for being such great foster parents.

  10. Best ending ever. I am so sad that the Batsels are gone. They would be my favorite batch if I had a favorite, which, of course, I don't. Not really.
