Have Tea with the Bean!!!

DSC_0840

As part of the fundraising auction, once again we'll be offering "Tea with the Bean".   Last year we had a really awesome time with our winner Allison and her guest Eleanor.  You can read all about it HERE.

Here's a little bit about what we're offering...

The winning bidder of this auction, and a guest of their choice, will be joining the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee at our home in Tacoma, WA for a behind the scenes tour and a luncheon.

They'll get to meet Charlene Butterbean and the foster kittens residing in our home at the time of their visit.

We will serve a lovely vegetarian  (or vegan if you prefer) lunch, tea, and desserts.   After lunch, we'll head to the Humane Society for a little tour which will include the foster room, cattery, and the Charlene Butterbean Quarantine Room.  They'll also get to see the HS van that has Charlene's photo on it!

We'll take lots of pictures during your visit, and with the winner's  permission, share the story of the visit on the blog.

The winner and guest will be responsible for their own travel expenses.

Sounds like fun, huh?

To get in on the bidding action check out the auction HERE.

Happy bidding!!

  3. Sounds like an awesome time - tea, lunch, behind the scenes view AND a visit to the HS. Wish I had a Seattle trip planned. And of the course the best part - basking in the presence of the Bean!!

  4. That is a gorgeous teapot. And it is wonderfully accentuated by the blueness of Ms. Bean's eyes. Together, they are stunning.

  5. Oh, I wish I could afford to bid on this auction! I'll be in Seattle in just a couple of weeks, so I'd be able to visit without having to make a special trip from Virginia like last year's devoted (and delightfully crazy, obviously!) winner did!

I know that the winner will have a spectacular time, and will be visiting for all of us, though....

It's amazing how the color of the teapot matches the blue in Butterbean's eyes. Simply mah-velous, Ms. Bean. Happy bidding!

  7. And not to add too much to the excitement, but the desserts will be provided be me, and I am an excellent scratch cook, if I do say so myself! Hmm....mini-lemon squares? Decadent brownie bites? Tea cookies? So many options....and I take requests!

  8. Holy moly, what's *not* to love about this??!! I remember last year, when we were all so excited we could barely stand it, waiting to see the pics from the Bean's Tea (hey, that rhymes with Queen's Tea!!). Allison and Eleanor were generous enough to let their day be photographed so we could all live vicariously through them. What fun!

From the sound of it there's another fabulous day in the works. So tempting!!
