Charlene Buttercream

Shortly after we rolled past FIFTY SQUILLION, while we were still dancing in the living room, Marguerite from the Humane Society surprised us with treats for humans and felines too!

Check it out!  She brought us a BEAN cake!!

The Dearborns, yes, that's right,  Geraldine and Phoebe,  were more excited by the decorations on the package than the cake. Of course they were, feather wands are FUN.

After they grew bored of the feather wands, they moved on to  their very favorite plume,  Butterbean's tail.

SO, what are  Phoebe and Geraldine doing here?   Well, they're  here for one last shift on the phones, of course.   Sure we reached our goal, but we're committed to two more days of FUNdraising, and we're hoping to squeak out a few more squillions if we can. And I think we can do it.

  1. The "I spit my coffee laughing" thing may be a cliche, but when I put the headline and pic on the cake together, I actually did.

Enjoy the cake and the feather wands!

  9. What a fantastic looking cake - I am with Anne B - I would like some cake and then I would like to play with Charlene's tail, Phoebe and Miss G, then oh ok, some more cake.

    Awesome JOB!!

Take some party favors in for the Batsel bunch in quarantine please. Have you told them the news yet?

  13. What a fabulous cake! The Bean photo is gorgeous and the set photo is adorable, but when I realized there were feather wands attached, I could tell that this was a VERY special cake indeed!

And I'll bet the young Batsels are very happy to have an experienced telephone squad return to help out. It's HARD for a tiny itty bitty like the Batsel babies to learn all that script and be able to remember everything they need to do on the phone, after all!

How long did Charlene let the Dearborns try to attack her tail? I realize that's not her favorite thing, but I can certainly understand its irresistibility. It's as irresistible to this human as it is to kitties!

  16. WaHOOOooooo!!!! and SQUILLIONS of SSsssQueeeeeeeeeEEEESSSSssss were heard 'round the world!

So nice for the ittiest of the itty bitty kitties Batsels to get some help from Phoebe and Geraldine.

@Anne B. - NO it is not wrong to WANT to play with Charlene's tail. **But** she may object to us actually playing with her tail.

Sigh, now I can rest my "refresh" finger a little.

  18. Congratulations on 50 squillion!

I love how the Bean is "Excuse me, what are you doing? That's my very own personal tail, not a brown feather wand"

  19. I'm always struck by how Charlene uses her tail almost like a big feather boa. I'm sure if Charlene was a human she would have at least one of them.

  20. What a beautiful cake (is there a sardine and tuna slice for the Bean and her kitten helpers?). It is lovely to see the darling Dearborns again--what dedicated kittens they are.

  21. Okay, I always knew Geraldine was no shrinking violet. I knew that from her very first post. "Hi, I'M GERALDINE!!!" But the cojones she shows in messing with the Bean's tail are huge! I was frightened for her, because we all know that you just don't mess with Charlene's tail!
