No More Maxine!

Last week, as soon I mentioned on the blog that Ms Maxine was available, I got a FLURRY of emails from wonderful people offering wonderful homes.

One was from Vic, mother to IBKC graduates Agnes and Henry Pettibone. She had a co-worker who had recently lost his 19-year-old kitty and was ready to bring in a companion for his big, floofy girl, CoCo.

Big, Floofy GirL?

Maxine worships Charlene. I thought how perfect would it be to send her to a home with another big, floofy girl to adore.

After Vic's introduction, Ed (aka Coco's dad) and I had a few email exchanges. He sounded great, so did CoCo. With Vic's seal of approval, I knew he just had to be an awesome kitty dad.

So Saturday afternoon, Ed came down to meet Maxine, and shortly thereafter, Maxine was on her way home with her new daddy.

I'm so excited for the girl. I know she's going to do just great with her new family!

We sure enjoyed our last days with Maxine. She had Charlene had the best time playing together. I think Bean managed to squeeze in a few more lessons, too. She is, after all, the in-house big and floofy cat expert. I think she did a great job prepping Maxine for her new life.

  1. Yay! I happen to be a friend of Maxine's new pet parent and can attest to the fact that she's going to a great new home!

  2. Have a wonderful life with your forever family, sweet Maxine! You deserve the best and it sounds like you've got it!
Don't forget to write and have your new Daddy send pictures!

  3. Magnificent Maxine, lucky you joining a new-to-you kitty girl!

It was a fun time seeing the Medleys speed through their youth.

Rest up Charlene, its that time of year!

  4. I love Maxine, she is such a little beauty, great to hear she found a wonderful new home and a big sister!!! That last pic looks like she is worshipping at Bean's feet ;o)

  5. Things couldn't have worked out more perfectly for little Maxine.
    (That last photo is HILARIOUS!)

  6. Maxine looks like such an adoring supplicant in that last pic! Rest up, Bean... your next class is coming soon!

  7. Yea for Maxine!!! Hey Bean? She's kinda making a face like your feet stink!!!!

  8. So long Maxine, have a wonderful time getting to know your new big sister and dad. Sounds like a perfect match to me... well worth the wait.

  9. Bean, you don't need to make them kiss your feet...

  10. Its the 2nd bottom pic i like - What a lovely portrait of two lovely ladycats!

  11. That last picture...slays me as much as it's slayed everyone else. Kinda like kissing the ring of the godfather...or godkitty as the case may be.

Maxine you will love your new family as much as they will love you, I just know it.

  12. It sure sounds like you're going to a great home, Maxine, and with a new fluffy big sister to adore? What could be more perfect? I know you'll have your new Daddy firmly wrapped around your little paw(s) -- if you don't already, that is!

And Charlene always looks so dignified when she poses for a photo. Silly girl, she clearly is a great fan of her own beauty, especially with a kitten supplicant like Maxine! Hee!

  13. Hooray for Maxine & her new family!

My name is Oskar & I have a blog that I'd love for you to check out, www.PetBlogsUnited.com. It's a great place for pet bloggers to find each other and get some exposure!

    Nubbin wiggles,

  14. Goodbye, adorable little Maxine! Have a beautiful, happy life with your new daddy and big floofy sister!

  15. Hooray! There are way too few kitty Daddies out there. My hat is off to him. I'm sure Maxine will become Daddy's little girl soon. Just ask mine.

  16. How wonederful. Love and luck in yoor forever home sweet Maxine.

  17. Oooooooooh! Pic No. 4 is so VERy sweet! Gave me a warm fuzzy to last all day long.
