The Amazing Jumping Bean

Bean has super leaping abilities. She's always has, and you would think that as she got older (and floofier) she wouldn't be able leap so high.

But she can, and it's a sight to behold. It always seems so effortless when she goes into the air.

Here she is with her buddy, Nicholas. They're very good friends, and when Nicholas stops by for a visit, he always breaks out her feather toy, and "jumps the Bean" for awhile.

  13. Is there a way to make her facebook page public to everyone, not just FB users? I'm not sure I want to be on it. On a celebrity scale Bean is way above me. I got my LJ (which no one reads) and my website (which no one visits) and that's all I need.

  14. Jason, for numerous reasons, I've chosen not to make it a public page. Mostly, to protect those who follow her.

  16. I'm so glad that I'm not the only person who uses the word 'floofy/floofier'. Go Bean go! The only time my Sidward jumps like that is when he's attacking midges in the summer. XD

  21. Laurie, I understand. It's part of why I haven't joined FB. Seems like every time I think about giving it a try, I read about how FB has been involved in something not good. Maybe it's how they use your information or someone using the service wrongly. In the end, there's more good than bad. Maybe one day I'll join and friend the Bean (another reason I dislike FB - they turned "friend" into a verb).

    Keep up the great work!

  23. JasonInIllinois -- I agree completely regarding FB!!! I am equally on the fence about it and have not signed up for exactly the reasons you cite.

Oh well -- at least we can come here and see the fabulous jumping Bean!! By whom I am totally amazed, by the way... her verticalness is astounding!! :)

  24. Ms. Bean, those are some impressive vertical skills. Clearly no feather toy is safe from your reach!
