There Are No Words

DSC_0681

Really, there are no words to describe the softness of this little boy.

I consulted a thesaurus, and all words fell short:

Comfortable, cottony, cozy, creamy, cushiony, cushy, delicate, doughy, downy, ductile, easeful, easy, elastic, feathery, fine, flabby, fleecy, fleshy, flexible, flimsy, flocculent, flowing, fluffy, fluid, formless, furry, gelatinous, impressible, limp, malleable, moldable, mushy, pappy, pithy, plastic, pliable, pulpy, quaggy, rounded, satiny, silken, silky, smooth, snug, spongy, squashy, supple, thin, velvety, yielding.

Nope.

He's all of that combined and multiplied by a squillion.

  1. I am just amazed everytime I see his picture how much he looks like Bug...too bad we aren't closer or I would swear they were related. :) Good luck to them and I am sure they will make your parents very happy!

  7. He's perfection. Perfection times a squillion.

I think he might object to being called flimsy and limp though :)

  10. Ahaha! I like 'flocculent'. You are right though: it is not nearly cute enough for Nigel.

  11. I have a wonderful "throw" that my critters and I like to curl up in. It looks something like Nigel and it's called "Lammie".

  12. P.S. That's the name that was on the label bt when I say it I'm sayin "lambie".

  13. I think 'floofy' says it all.

  14. I think Nigel's what happens when a kitten thinks he's a lamb.

  15. Awwwww! Softer than a chinchilla, I bet. As I have said before, Nigel is so floofilicious!

  16. I'm very happy to see that Nigel has his tail tucked up under his paw. It is very important to hold onto the tail while sleeping, lest it move around on its own and entice mischief. My girls all learned this lesson and now sleep holding onto their tails. Of course, they prefer to use their front paws but Nigel still has a short, stubby little kitten tail which probably does not yet reach to his front paws, regardless of his bendy-ness.

  17. Such a sweet looking little snugglemuffin! He looks like the negative version of my beloved Mr Floofenshorts (aka Sunspot), who was all black save a couple appearing and disappearing curly white whiskers -- the other whiskers were straight and black.

Oh, do I want to kiss your little Nigel!

  18. I'd love to play "Where's Nigel?" with a photo of him asleep on a sheepskin pad. I think that would become his version of an invisibility cloak.

  19. I like "downy" and "cottony" and "fleecy" of the list your thesaurus provided. Your parents and these kitties are going to have a wonderful life together!

Any Canadians out there remember the Royale kittens? I think Nigel would fit right in.
