A Quiet Moment

Roland and Edith left for their new home yesterday. I'll have their full departure story for you tomorrow.

Today... I'll share with you this quiet little moment with Roland.

What a sweet little man. We're missing him already.

  3. Is it wrong that I already want the next batch of kittens to arrive? Losing the ones we know and love is just too much!!

  4. Oh the axis of snorgle! i love snuggling and nuzzling my girls when they lay like this. The fur on the neck and the ear is the softest. I need a snorgle right now!

  5. I love the Furmans!
I love the floofiliciousness for miss Butterbean and my Marbles.

As of today, my household is a single cat household. Toes crossed the Rainbow Bridge this morning. Her kidneys just gave out this last weekend....15 years of love to be treasured.

  6. Oh, KatBoxJanitor, so sorry for your loss. Toes, I love her name. Was she a solid with white toes?? My kitty Toes was black w/ white toes.

Laurie, I know you want/need a break the last two litters almost overlapped!! But what is the coming Holiday season without mischeivous Kittens to help with the decorations??

  9. This is such an awesome post Laurie...thank you so much for sharing these wonderful photos...
I simply cannot resist snuggling my wonderful feline when he sleeps this way...
And of course, the second I touch him, the purr motor kicks in...
The Furman Five are the most adorable little kittens ever!
Laurie, thank you so much for all of your hard work on behalf of these magnificent little starfish whom, if not for you, would simply have nowhere else to go...

My. Oh. My. These little Furmans have captured my heart in a very special way. I am going to miss them... Don't know how you can let any of them go, Laurie! (I mean - I totally understand that you have to - but - OMG - they are so, so precious!)

  12. KBJ, all our purrayers going out to your family! Hugs from everyone at the Casa and I'll ask Grey to make sure Toes settles in well at the Bridge!

  13. KBJ, Kitze (my four-legged daughter) and I want to express our condolences to you. I'm certain that Toes had a great life with you and her life was better for it :)

Laurie, I don't know how you can bear to watch any of the kittens go. I'm a shelter volunteer in Chicago, and I've almost cried when I've seen some of the cats who've wormed their way into my heart go home...

My heart also goes out to you, KBJ; very sorry about Toes. I have two senior girls myself and one of them was just diagnosed with kidney issues.
