You Rock.

In all seriousness, you do.  You rock.

DSC_1029

I  just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for taking us so far.     I can hardly believe that we've blown past thirty squillion.  I really do feel that 40 squillion is within our reach now, even with just two days of fundraising remaining.   My hopes are high, and my fingers are crossed.

Earlier today, I was looking at a list last years contributions and contributors.    There are so names I've seen repeated on this year's list.    It's so nice to know you're all still here.    There are lots of new ones too - our community has really grown.

I do a fair share of bouncing around blog-land, and I have to say this group of ours is a unique one.  It's  a warm and lovely, positive and supportive community.   You make this a happy place.  I love all the care and concern you have for our kittens, and each other too.   I appreciate your willingness to give so much.

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to see all the good that will be done with our contributions this year.    I saw what happened last year when Butterbean Quarantine opened, and the new cages purchased with the funds we raised were placed in the lobby.  More cats got adopted this year, and more lives were saved.

Because we rallied so hard from places literally around the world, many people took notice.  And even after all the funds we raised were used, the impression of our passion remained, and today, it continues to inspire people to make things better for the cats.

When we join together, we are mighty powerful!

Thank you for caring and giving so much.
Thank you for being a part of this community.

Thank you, thank you,  thank you.

  3. Laurie, thank you for all you do with this site. I love coming here precisely because it is such a warm and positive place, and is one of the first positive places I go in the morning to get my day started. It helps me keep my vibes in a good place. I so appreciate you, Charlene, Craig, and all the kitties and peeps who make this such a great place. I wish I had 7.5 squillion to get you to the 40 squillion mark myself, but I think all of us together can do it! :)

  4. Laurie, like the others said, you rock. Your hard work and dedication have helped so many furry babies. And of course you have a great husband by your side helping out. I only discovered your blog over the last several months and I visit it every day (more than once) and it's my favourite site - no word of a lie.

I wish I could give more but the vet fees for my furry kids have pushed me over the limit. I'm crossing my fingers we can make it happen.
    (Sorry for the long post).

  5. Enid, Hester and I really wish we could donate this year but we are facing many financial hurdles in addition to trying to catch feral kittens. They are quick little buggers.

You are an amazing family - you, Craig, the Bean and the infamous former Drewey.

  6. I won't lie - it tears me up to see HOW many people donate! I wish I could give more, and I wish I could give to all my favorite causes (Horse rescues! SPCA! Etc). But I'm glad there are people like you, Laurie, here to bring the best in people out! Much love to the Bean, and all the babies!

  9. :) It's really wonderful how we all are able to pull together for all the furbabies .. I know it's been a tough year for most, but I know every little bit counts. My bf and I are both tight this year, so our contribution was the money we were saving for going out for dinner on our anniversary next month(recycling money!).

We are forever grateful to those who foster and are shelter workers.. because if it wasn't for them, we would have never met our babies :) ♥ To all the people involved, THANK YOU! My life is so much richer because of everything you do and the lives that you save :)

  11. LOVE that picture!

And thanks for all you do: rallying an amazing show of support for the dog-a-thon, fostering kittens, and taking beautiful photos of those kittens to share with the world. I don't know how you do it all, but I certainly appreciate it!
