...And My Dad Loves Them Too.

In response to those comments yesterday suggesting my parents adopt the Finch boys,, believe me, it's been discussed. As tempting as these fabulous Finches are, my folks aren't in the market for kittens right now.

  2. That first picture must have been AFTER all the bones had been removed from the kitten, right? I've heard of boneless chicken, but never boneless KITTEN. ;) They are ADORABLE (of course).

  3. How does one get an affectionate kitten like that? Is it that we work and are never home that our cats don't cuddle up on us like this? I long for kitties like these 2 guys! Come to South Dakota!

  4. How, how, how in the world can they resist?? Such cute little snugglebuns are just dying to go home with Grandma and Grandpa.

  5. Look at Walter winking in the last pic. Cute kittens buttering up the grandparents!

  6. I love all the pictures, but that first one is just priceless!!!! I will look at it a squillion times today alone :)

  7. Pictures 4 and 5: We've all seen representations of an angel on one shoulder, a devil on the other; this is angels on *both* shoulders.

  8. The Finch boys are beautiful - but I love your dad's moustache too!

  9. Walter knows how to work it!

  10. Nothing cuter - ever! Love these little Finchlettes!

  11. The solution is obvious...some very lucky family needs to adopt the kittens and your parents!

  12. Every time my parents have said that, we ended up with another kitten.

How do you feel about having the Finches as furry siblings? ;)

  13. No one is ever "in the market for kittens" - kittens come into your lives when YOU need them too. Even if you didn't know you needed them. Think of the cost savings on heating pads - use the power of the sleepy kitten!

  14. Yes, Walter and Ira are working it - they want to go home with your folks! Can you blame them? Whatever it is to be, we know you will find just the perfect family for them (hopefully together!)
Love to see chubby kittens like these boys! Yay Ira and Walter!!!!

  15. Oooh - Such furry love in those little kitten bodies!

And your Dad obviously adores being adored by kittens. It is a hard to believe he can resist one of these litters, let alone the Finch boys!

  16. Shoulder mounted rocket kittehs~! :-D

  17. It would be so wonderful for the Fab Finch Boys to stay in the family! But they will be loved and adored by whomever adopts them - they are too adorable to resist!!!

  18. "I like dis guy."

    "Me too!"

  20. I don't think it is up to your parents. I think the Finches have adopted them! ^-^

  21. Simply adorable. You are truly a family of kitten whisperers :D

  22. I love that first picture. That little kitty is sure relaxed. He's so full of trust. It must be hard for your parents to resist them.

  23. Heart-warming photos.
It's a pity your parents aren't in the market for kittens right now. But to acknowledge that fact and maintain your position despite the growing affection these li'l guys inspire is a very important part of responsible pet adoption. Good for them (and you)!
I only hope Ira and Walter find wonderful, loving homes (or, hopefully ONE great home together!)
Wishing you and your family a wonderful 2010!

  24. Those pictures are beautiful! It would be really hard for me not to hold them and take them into my life but I understand completely if they aren't looking for kittens now. I have to pinch myself constantly not to get any more kittens or dogs now...it's very hard but necessary! I do hope that Walter and Ira receive really excellent forever homes!

  25. I am sooooo jealous right now. I wanna hold them too. =(

  26. I agree with Alex93 that it takes a lot of willpower to resist the drawing power of kittens when you really are "full" up attending to a houseful of already adopted animals! I pinch myself, too. Alex93, to prevent coming home with more kittens. It doesn't help that almost everywhere I've been lately people have offered me adorable kittens of various ages. AAAGH! So......much....CUTE!

  27. I love how the Finch boys do a little pelt looking thing when they are happy and relaxed. And of course my secret crush and his lovely wife would make them happy and relaxed.

  28. I understand not being ready, too. I have my one loving cat, and people are always trying to get me to adopt another...oh the lure of a kitten! Maybe some day, but not now. Still, there is nothing better than a warm kitten, or two, and it sure seems that the Finch boys want your mom and dad want them to be their mom and dad, too!

  29. I am curious what Drewey thinks of your Mom and Dad....or does she remain skeptical because they are so accepting of THOSE kittens!!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Oh I'm so jealous! Two fisted kitten wrangling! The apple didn't fall far!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Your dad is furry, too!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Is it me, or did the Finch boys grow like weeds? Looks like your parents had a lo of fun with the boys.

    ReplyDelete
  33. ohhh absolutely love the pics esp. 1 and 4th..on the last one,it is like Walter winking and says:"yeahh...mommy, i will make grandpa to adopt us!!!"..Am so happy the boys are all fine and have such wonderful time with you, your parents and us!!!

  34. They've gotten so BIG! And CUDDLY! I don't know, from the looks of it the market demand for kitties might just be going up in the near future. :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Littlebook is right...the Finch boys have made their decision. Tell your folks resistance is futile. :)

  36. I'm with the suggestion that someone adopt both the baby kitties AND your parents! That's a win-win for all concerned. My unabashed adoration for the Finches (as for every single IBK since the beginning - eclipsed only by my passion for Charlene) is equal to my affection for your parents. They LOOK like the loving, tender people who would raise the likes of YOU,and *I* say: there's proof of a Creator,if you need one.

  37. That first photo is killer. Where can I get a kitty wrap?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Wot a pity 'cos they'd make lovely parents!
