  4. For those who still haven't browsed through every single post of IBKC (that includes any newcomers!), the relevant post regarding kitten magnets is this one: They Call Him the Cat Whisperer

  10. I see Arthur's caught himself a human! No surprise, he probably killed it with cuteness.

  11. Lookout Bean; Arthur and Bennie are rivaling you for cuteness! Dad gets some cute points, too

  12. This picture is not helping my want for Arthur, or my want to move west so I can adopt him.

But goodness, it is so precious. :)

  14. Some cat people are born, but they can definitely be made. My own Dad "didn't care for cats" for most of his life, until he came in contact with my cats and kittens over the years. He'd often be found, sheepish, lying on his side in a back bedroom -- overrun by unruly kitty-terrorists and loving it! Some of my favorite memories are of my father watching a cat intently, and then looking at me saying, "Why does she DO that?" I tried to explain that no human mind can fully understand the intention of the domestic cat, and that it was a sign of his inexperience that he even asked. :) :)

Your Dad's a natural, Laurie! And Arthur is spectacular! Not to mention itty bitty.

  15. Cynthia...I found that when most people say they "Don't like cats..." or "Aren't cat people...", they have never actually owned one or were scratched by a stray or such as a child. THEN...when they really get to know a cat...they "change" and often get their own! :) So when some one tells you they don't like cats, first ask them if they have ever owned one. 9 out of 10 times the answer is no. But they have friend with a cat etc. We all KNOW that they don't act the same around others as they do with just their family! Cats have special bonds!

  16. I stand corrected! looking at the close up (thanks, Laurie!), it's NOT a nose boop but a lick and maybe some gumming!

    AWWWWW.

  17. My guess is that almost anyone who lies on the floor at Laurie's is almost immediately overrun with kittens, but I could be wrong!

At any rate, these photos show that Laurie's dad is willing to do so, which is quite something.

And I also went THONK at the sight of that teeny tiny tongue action...

  18. Arthur appears to be one extremely serious little kitten. He's certainly focussed on licking Dad's finger properly.

  19. So, have you Mom and Dad gotten one (or several) for themselves yet?

  20. Ooooh... this may be your cutest bunch yet! I can't wait for the group photo.

  21. Oh,Laurie - you DO IT to us (if I may speak for all above me -- and I think I can). No surprise....WHOOAH!! ('scuse me) ...no surprise you're like you are, with a Da who can be completely subjugated, brought right to the floor, by a teaspoon-sized hunter! (The "whooah"? I think I just got my idea for this year's NANOWRIMO! And I owe it all to you....)

  22. PS - isn't this pretty much how our beloved Charlene Butterbean looked as a teensy? OF course, she was clearly all girl, but if I'm right, Arthur's going to be ONE. HANDSOME. DUDE!
