We've Got a Little Announcement to Make!!!

DSC_0797

And now... the moment you've all been waiting for...

Over at IBKC headquarters, we randomly selected a winner from our pool of 675 donors. The winner of a complete set of IBKC cards (Butterbean, Picketts, Davenports, Pettipbones, Lovejoys and Ashbys) AND naming rights to an itty bitty kitty from our next litter of fosters is....

Ms Christine Halfon!!!

Congratulations, Christine!! Please shoot me an email with your mailing address and your prizes will be mailed right off.

I wanted to give everyone a chance of winning a little something regardless of if you donated or not. I'll got a heap of Dog-A-Thon SWAG that I would like to give away to one lucky winner. Included in the prize package: A Dog-A-Thon Tee Shirt (size adult large), a bandanna, baseball cap, and a cinch-pack. I am also throwing in an assortment of 10 IBKC cards too. If you would like to be included in the raffle, just leave your name and a comment after this post. You've got until 11:59 PM Pacific Time this Thursday to throw your name in the hat. The winner will be announced in Friday morning's post.

  25. That kitten is just TOO cute. Almost enough to make me brave dire allergies to have another kitty. Almost. I'd rather have my own kitty back and healthy. Sammi was a rescue from Tacoma Humane that I adopted 15 years ago. She was fostered by some wonderful person just like the IBKC before she came to the shelter to find a home (her original name was Tabitha, she was a fluffy white and grey tabby). I had gone to the shelter to find a kitty after losing my last one to FIP. Sammi looked just like my last kitten, although Sammi had more fluff. I would have passed on her but she kept grabbing at me through the bars. I finally relented and picked her up, she she immediately snuggled up and purred like crazy. I was hooked. We had 14 wonderful years together before I lost her to kidney disease last August. Thanks to folks like IBKC who give kitties like my Sammi a chance to let us love them. --Jenn from Portland (formerly of Tacoma and Issaquah)

  31. I LOVE this space!

I like the idea of the 2nd chance drawing as well.
I am a proud "KatBoxJanitor" and a regular IBKC card customer....who hopes for more soon, so I can work on my Christmas purchases. Only 5 MONTHS to go!

Did Drewey have to give someone a stinkeye a little earlier today? Bummer.

Love all you do for kitties and us poor hoomans who just need a kitten fix when we are away from our own!

    ReplyDelete
  32. So cute - kitty looks like he is trying to whisper "Hey, gues how much 'nip I got into tonight!"

  33. I'm so glad to hear that the dog-a-thon was such a huge success! Also, Congrats Christine.

And of course I would love to throw my hat into the ring too!

  36. I must say, when I saw your heading, I was thinking we were going to see the final totals you raised (but thinking back, I think you already announced that). Congratulations to Christine!!!

I was wavering between asking to be put in the hat or not. My heart said "I want kitty cards!" BUT my heart also said "If I want kitty cards, I'll buy them (when I have money, eventually, one day), and the money will go to helping to buy kitty litter for the babies."

    And so...

Don't put my name in the hat. I want someone else to win. We had so many dear people donate, I want as many people as possible to win the raffle.

My thoughts are that I already won a 21 squillion dollar prize. Nothing can beat having your hopes not only fulfilled but exceeded many times over.
