Number One Son

DSC_0129.JPG

Here's the first of our new little brood. This lovely little lynx point is one of the four boys in this litter of five.

So what's his name, you ask? You tell me!

Thanks to a marvelous suggestion by Itty Bitty Kitty Community member Dan, as part of our fundraiser, we will be auctioning off the naming rights to this ENTIRE litter!

I'm working on setting it up right now. Each day, a new kitten will be introduced and a new auction will begin.

As soon as the first auction is up and ready to go,, I'll let you all know.

For now,, just gaze into those baby-blues.

What a striking young lad ________ is.

  3. Oh good Lord is he a handsome one! And I'm sure his siblings are all equally elegant.

  4. Is Charlene teaching them how to count to a squillion?

  5. He's so serene! You have been working your kitten calming magic again, Laurie.

Now...you ARE going to let us see all the kittens soon, right? I love the name-auction idea, but I hope it won't delay the introduction of all members of this precious litter!

  6. He is very distinguished and elegant looking. I realize that the names are being auctioned off, but I just have to put in my suggestion of Cary.

  7. OMG OMG OMG!!! They're here!!! I'm as excited as Charlene probably is. At least we get to see pictures. Poor Butterbean can hear and smell them, but can't meet them till quarantine is over.

And Dan, GREAT idea. You're a natural fundraiser.

  9. This would only apply to people in your area, but you should auction off a photo session. I love your photographs and I would kill to have you take pictures of my cats (but I'm in NYC).

  10. yes, i was hoping this was your new brood! i fell head over heals for him yesterday!!

  11. He really is a handsome boy. Are you going to be selecting a surname and auctioning off the right to pick their first name. If they are sibs they should have the same last name, right?

  12. Lynx point? OHBOY are there some lucky soon-to-be Forever Families out there who will have the blessing of these babies. Hmmm...naming. Well, the only time I've ever felt like I was "above and beyond" with a kitty name was when we got a cute little grey-and-white boy when my kids were mediumish-little. We named her "Iphigenia" ("Iffy") which got her picture on the front page on Pets-to-School day, because everyone else was named "Puffy" and "Fluffy".

  17. Oof!

Now I have picked my jaw off the floor....I need to look up a couple words\names to see if I can find what I am looking for.

  18. Oh, he looks so soft and sleek and contented.

Chanter, he's a soft-colored boy almost oatmeal covered, looking up with these enchanting blue eyes. His whiskers are absolutely evenly spaced, so they look very well groomed indeed.

    He's a charmer!

  22. I'm assuming all of the littermates will share a last name and the auction is for the first name.

What is the last name of the litter?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Also, can you give us a group shot and then individuals?

I'M DYING OVER HERE FROM THE ANTICIPATION!

    Purrrty please?

  24. Oh no!!!!! Is it maybe a whole litter of Siamese kittens?? If so, *die*

  25. He is divine. Love the white guyliner. My mum always said that orange nosed kitties are the smartest.

  29. I think if the late great and charitable Paul Newman were a kitty, he'd look just like this handsome fella. Just look deep into those azure pools. I'm in love again...*sheesh*

  30. Oh yes, how distinguished he looks. And beautiful. And intelligent ... Looks like he's trying to master the first lesson about that telethon thingy already :-)

I thought, "What could possibly be cuter than the Darlings?" - Well, just possibly that would be a lynx point kitten!

Already looking forward to being introduced to his siblings ... there's four of them, you say?

  31. He look's like my snow leopard bengal Desa did when he was a baby. Soo cute!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I propose "Reynaldo."

    ReplyDelete
  33. OH! i hope its a litter of ALL siameses! This first little one is just beautiful!

  34. If this little man isn't named Frank Sinatra in the end...then I don't know blue eyes when I see them☺

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh gods, you've got little lynx-point bitty-kitties :3 (And the fellow there looks *almost* like a gender-swapped version of my little bouncy Ashie--so named because the bottoms of her paws do look like she's taken a leisurely stroll in an (out, uncleaned) fireplace. :D LOVEY, incredibly VOCAL, incredibly BOUNCY little girl, she is :3)

    ReplyDelete
  36. **kerplunk** That was Meowm passing out from all the cuteness!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oh wow... If I weren't already in love with 9 (and secretly in love with Hubie)... I'd totally fall for this little guy... oh, who am I kidding! I'm already in love!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh, goodness, he looks just like my Snowy as a kitten. I love seeing lynx points. So gorgeous.

    And oh-so talkative!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I am actually getting a Lynx Point kitten either today or tomorrow! from my friend's litter, Yay!
    I suggest the name Cricket!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Exactly like my Migas when she was that age. Now she's 4 years old and much darker striped, but she keeps her beautiful water-blue eyes!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh my those blue eyes are wonderful! Hello little cutie!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm unemployed. Can't join the auction. But I think he'd make a handsome "Lysander."

    ReplyDelete
  43. *pops over here* Awww, a little tiny lynx point meezer! I'm suddenly very glad I looked up what on Earth was meant by 'lynx point' a few days ago. Now I can oh so knowledgeably squeak "Tabby stripey paws!" :) Cuteness! Between that and the oatmeal coloring and the blue eyes... yup, you guessed it. I'm in love already.

Brilliant idea to auction off naming rights, by the way. I'm very much broke, so I can't hope to compete over there, but I'll chime in my own suggestion anyhow. I'd say that just from the description, this little cutie is an Alexander. Lysander's lovely too, to agree with someone upthread.
