No More Pussy-Footing Around!

DSC_0106.JPG

When I decided to do this little fundraiser for our Humane Society, I knew I would have your support, but had no idea we would raise so much so fast. I guess never expected that people would be donating more than once, let alone two, three or four times. I know I've said it before, but thank you, thank you, thank you. I've got word from some of the higher-ups down the HS that they are quite impressed with your support too, and they thank you as well.

We've got some SERIOUS momentum going, and with 23 days left before the Dog-A-Thon, I think it's safe to raise our goal to 15 squillion. Gulp. Yes. 15 squillion.

We've had about 275 donations so far, which is so awesome, but with nearly 130,000 visiting the site in the past 30 days, that's just a drop in the bucket.

So to you remaining 129,725 people, please say hello to Selma and Francine.

They're just wondering when they'll be hearing from you.

And don't forget, one of you lucky folks who donates will receive a complete set of all the IBKC cards ever printed and will get to name one of our kittens too! More on that here.

  8. I'd been waiting for some more funds to come in, and they just did. Just in time for me to see that last picture of the two girlies, and seeing one of them chewing on her tiny paw, not sure if 15 squillion is doable....

It is, tiny paw! It is!!!!

With much love from Darin, and by default, cats Daltrey and Jonah, and bf Josh, who thinks Charlene has got to be the best foster kitty on Earth.

  9. p.s. I just "corrected" the ICHC Twyla pic so they can put the IBKC website and maybe even a shoutout on the picture.

I'm not ashamed to say that I told them that Cute Overload gave both a shout out AND a donation... But I like Cheezburger BETTER, so they'd better measure up!!!!

  11. Twyla's mom or dad, are you out there? The promise of updated photos of that gorgeous baby girl will bring the IBKC a long way towards their new $15 squilion goal, and I'll be the first to donate!

  12. I just donated on behalf of my 2 passed kitties - both were strays that I brought in. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart for what you are doing - its such an important cause to me. Once I have a more stable home, I want to foster too. Adorable kitties and keep up the GREAT work

  14. Ummm, does the 80 times a day I check IBKC count as 80 separate hits? I don't think I have enough to cover all those visits : ) but I will do what I can!

  15. wow. its so unfair how cute they are! 'pulls out visa card and hands over to Selma, WITH a pen'

  16. What a cute pair of ewok kitties!

I think I account for at least 20 hits....I will have to see how finances are after my foster-pup Cloud's spaying. Her agency is terminating the bloodline for a few reasons.

My 1 rescue kitty and 1 shelter kitty were happy to give their play & 'nip money.

  17. Dear Selma and Francine,

My Hubby and I regularly support and donate to our local kitty shelters. All four of our cats are rescues and are the light of our lives.

*Waving paws from 17 year old Caesar, 4 year old Katrina rescue kitty Apollo, and the 2 year old Jedi Twins: Luke and Leia* :)
