and Mr "I look bad-ass, but I am really just sleepy" Mitchell!

I dropped by Sue's to visit and photograph The Merriweathers the other day. The kitties were all napping, purring and lazing about in sunlight with Sue's permanent resident cats, Frannie, Rosemary and Minnie. The Merriweathers are all doing super and will be ready for adoption very, very soon.

  2. Awww.. Those are gorgeous kits. And so floofy!

  3. My, how they've grown! They have real cat ears that are where they belong on a big kitty and they have such lovely, laid back expressions on their beautiful faces. Now I'll go to the archives and see them as babies.

  4. All you Tacoma IBKC-junkies and general Tacoma PC Humane Society supporters- Exit 133.com has a link to the HS. The owner of the site just adopted a 9 year old kitty, and plugged the HS. I added my shameless plug for foster parents, and for homes for my fosters. Here's the link:

And I still think little Mitchell just looks stoned!

  6. Those wee punkies are so sweet - and yeah, they surely did stand in the Whiskers line long enough to get a a good set, didn't they? I wonder how may people are moving to Tacoma just so's to adopt your Shelter's itty bitties? (I know *I* would, were it not for having such a deep-sunk taproot here....

  7. I've been reading your blog for about a month now, and have never commented. But I just love Mitchell. I wish I weren't dorming in college, so that I could adopt him!

  8. Do Mitchell and Dot have orange in their coats, or is that just the photo making it look that way?

  9. there is a red-ish undertone to their coats,, but you really only see it in the sunlight.

  10. Yep those are some crazy-type whiskers, which I think is how you know they're going to be quite long-haired floofy cats.

  14. Yay for Sue and the Merriweathers! I was lucky enough to be at the shelter yesterday when Sue brought them in for a checkup. They're BIG and FLOOFY! All of them stole my heart, especially Mitchell. What a love.

    Thanks, Sue, for sharing them!!

  15. It looks like Ursula with her ear tips and Mitchell with his floof-overload have some Maine Coon in them. What do you think?

We have a halfy Maine Coon and he is the lovingest, meowingest kitty ever.
