Girl Number Three: Nadine Pickett

DSC_0077
This darling miss is Nadine Picket. She's the third and final girl kitty in the Pickett litter. She's quiet, demure, and as sweet as pie. Sometimes she'll sit back and watch the world go by. Other times, she's right in the the middle of it all. She started off looking more like a dilute tortie. He color is shifting now and she's looking a little more tabby. It will be interesting to see her develop. She too was blessed with extra toes.

  4. Nadine is such a sweet little gal.

What a cute pout she has....and those extra toes are so awesome!

My girl Toes used to play by tossing a superball and then chasing it and batting it around.

    She is a polydactyl too!

BTW - I have heard the term "torbie" for the blend of tortie colors and tabby patterns.

  8. Nadine is like the poster kitten for cute kittyness. Such round eyes, a little tilt of the head, and perfect features in soft grey touched with peachy white. Her chest is all peachy white, right front leg is grey, and her toes on both feet are peachy white except for her right "ring toe" which is grey, and as cute as her extra toes are! Nadine you are darling!

  9. Oh, with those huge eyes and the way she has her head tilted, I don't think anybody could deny Miss Nadine anything!

And like most felines, I'm sure she knows it!

  10. Oh, Nadine. Honey, is that you?
Seems like every time I catch up with you,
You're up to something new. (With thanks to Chuck Berry)

This must be Beulah's rock 'n' roll litter!

  12. Awww, hi adorable little Nadine kitten! Are you a torbie? You sound like a darling either way. :)

  13. Chanter, maybe kinda sorta on the torbie question. I actually googled "torbie" and didn't look at too many because it would seem that there are a lot of ways of interpreting the torbie title. Nadine does have a great M on her forehead and the most wonderful little halo of guard hairs shining above her head. She's one of those that you'd like to carry around inside your hands like a precious ball, unlike Twyla who doesn't seem round at all, but I'd still like to carry her around too. Hmm, let me think. Which one of them would I NOT like to carry around?

  14. Nadine. Nadine. Nadine.

She could command world domination with that little look of hers. One look from her and it would be a TKO for any fool who resisted her.

  15. "Hello, I am a sweet, fuzzy kitten and you all must obey my every command....." How could we resist?

  16. OMG, the cuteness!!

This batch of itty bitties are super precious! I'm so glad they get to have their mama caring for them, with the support of such wonderful and big-hearted humans. Talk about getting the best possible start in life!

  17. Aww, she has a fluff halo? Too cute! Torbie or not, she's the definition of super-cuteness, and I'm just going off the descriptions here! *loves*

  19. Laurie, I've just read the new (maybe it's been there for weeks and I've just been mesmerized by the kitties on the left) column on the right of IBKC FAQs. Well done! Your following has gotten so huge and is getting huger every day, that the come latelys can catch up, us oldies but goodies can clarify, and it's all good. I feel that one can become a crazy cat lady with way fewer than 13 cats, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.
I love all my friends who meet here at your blog. Jane makes me smile every time you introduce a new kitty and she politely comments, "Hello Miss/Mr. (insert kitty name), it's a pleasure to meet you.:)" You attract the best IBKC junkies!

  20. Oh my swee... Thud.

  21. I love your FAQ. I'm pretty sure that in Oregon the 'Crazy Cat Lady' turning point is at least 14. Either that, or we have an inordinate number of Crazy Cat Ladies.
