Inspector Stout

DSC_3657

I don't know who was out there on the deck last night, but someone visited and left a scent.  It could have been the neighbor cat who's been getting a little braver recently, or, possibly a raccoon, who I noticed rambling down the road the other night. Whatever it was, it caught Wylla's attention, and she was clamoring to get out there on the deck to investigate this morning.

I escorted her outside, and she took some slow steps and big sniffs as she evaluated the scene. Nostrils flared,  her upper lip curled back, and she puffed up a bit.

Charlene sauntered out to the deck once she finished off Wylla's abandoned breakfast. She washed her face as Inspector Stout made her rounds.

Such a look of intensity on her face!  How dare they step on her deck!  The nerve of this creature!

  1. That'll teach Inspector Stout not to abandon breakfast! Very sneaky Charlene. But Wylla looks rather like a Pallas Cat in her full glorious coat.

  3. Inspector Stout, on the case! If she doesn't get to the bottom of things, and figure out who the intruder was, no one can!

  7. Holy cow. Floof. She always reminds me of a collie on steroids. Pretty soon she'll be like Marge Simpson and be able to hide kittens in her fur. <3

  8. She is so gorgeous! Having followed her since her story with you started, I just love seeing her be this healthy, happy, curious lady-cat.

  9. She looks like she's making tiger lips in one of these (that's what we call it when do the thing where they open their mouths to catch a scent better). Such a fierce and vigilant protector!

  13. I was having a hard time paying attention to her adorable, concerned face over the magnitude of her FLOOF.

  14. It's been a long time since I checked out your blog (maybe a year?) and I have to say that I missed it and Wylla looks so much floofier than I remember her! She almost looks like a Norwegien Forest Cat in terms of fluff!! Go Wylla!
