Feeling Good

DSC_1853

Wylla had a pretty good day yesterday. Her pain meds are making her a little loopy still and I think she napped a little more than usual and was slightly less chatty, but other than that her behavior was pretty normal.  Her appetite is decent, she's drinking plenty of water, and everything seems to A-OK in the litter box department.

She's not a big fan of taking her medicine,  so with every dose, we play a game of hide-and-go-seek.

She demanded some playtime last night so we got out Da Bird and had some fun. She made large, wild, and twisty leaps after the toy -- maybe the pain meds made her feel invincible.   We were all pretty amazed, especially Bean who watched with big eyes and sat on the edge of the rug to stay out of harm's way.

I'm so happy she seems to be feeling well.

Thank you for all of the well-wishes for Wylla. It's very nice knowing you're out there sending lots of healing vibes her way!   xoxoxo!!!

  5. What a huge relief! I am so thankful!

Having a sick kitty is very stressful and distracting! Even though she's not "officially" part of our clowder, I felt relief learning that she's getting better.

Big bunts and snuggles to Wylla (and Bean)!

  6. Dear Little Stout, be a good girl and take your meds! They're helping you to feel all nice and better. Lots of love from Daltrey, Josh, and Darin in Holly Springs, NC. p.s. we definitely understand about urinary tract problems! :-D

  7. So glad to hear Wylla is feeling better! Hewitt would be happy to give Wylla lessons in taking medicine: he laps up the cherry-flavored liquid from a bowl.

  8. Yay, Wylla! Taking medicine is no fun, but if it helps, it's worth the discomfort/nasty taste.

  12. Yay Wylla! So happy to hear you are feeling a bit better and are on the mend. Maybe a good BeanBath(TM) will help with the pain management too? Take care!

  13. Medicine is no fun! I am happy you are feeling better Wylla. I received the Big Hiss for applying flea topical medicine. Next time I will wait until dinner is served so naughty kitty is distracted!

  15. Glad Wylla is feeling more herself!
Do you happen to know anything about Sue the PitterPats person? I kept her blog in my feed and on my sidebar because I kept hoping she'd begin posting again, but now the domain doesn't exist anymore. Thanks for any info!

    2. I loved that blog too. Even though it was inactive, I had bookmarked a few posts as special ammunition for the days when life is stressful and you need to see something sweet and kind.
Hope that your Wylla feels better soon. Love from Texas.
