It's Hard to be Good

DSC_0565

As I wrote last week, the holiday decorations have been ignored by the cats for the most part. But then I added these little trees to the display, and a certain tortie can't keep her paws off of them.

I get it. They are pretty irresistible.  It wouldn't take much to topple those over and those colors are yummy.

They are within paw's reach and RIGHT next to her favorite napping spot in front of the furnace vent.

But she's been instructed to leave those alone.

And though she tries very hard to exercise a little self-control.

She is a cat, and she can't.

    1. No fair tempting the tortie! I'm sure Santa Claus will be sympathetic to Wylla's plight.

  3. That is a challenge, Wylla. My girl would've brushed her teeth with those days ago.

  4. Oh Dear Wylla. I am Coco. My mom was determined to place a birdie ornament near the bottom of our tree. What was I to do? It has a HUGE and fluffy feather tail. Um, well at least it used to have a huge and fluffy tail. Whee!

  5. The rules for naughty and nice only applies to HUMANS! Kitties are always innocent!

  8. Ahem...Mom...cats and tiny trees are meant to mix it up. Otherwise why put tiny trees near my best sleeping spot? Why not put them near Charlene's spot? Answer?

  12. "Wylla. Please do not touch the trees." "I'm not touching them, Mama. I am only sniffing them."

  14. Oh, poor Wylla! Don't worry, girl, it's a short holiday season.

My dear departed Toby used to scoop all the figures out of the Nativity set and cram his big striped butt into the little stable. Baby Jesus was glued back together SO many times.

  15. You can see the torment in her poor little soul!

    I MUST TOUCH THE TREES!
