How Would You Pair the Patmores?

DSC_0668

It's true. Our time with the Patmores is coming to an end soon. Everyone is over two pounds now, they've all found their families, and soon they'll be leaving our nest. I know you're all sad to hear this news, but you'll be happy to know we'll be sending them out in two sets!

Now, if you were given the task of pairing up the Patmores,  how would you do it.

First, let's take a look at all the kittens --- just in case there's someone out there who still doesn't know who is who.

There's Theodora.

  1. Thing is we've seen them together so often, I can't pair them up. I'm sure they'll have wonderful homes regardless. It's great they already found their furever families! Another litter graduating from the IBKC school!

  2. I'd keep them all together. This foursome seems best together.

  3. Honestly, if I'd had to pick two from this litter I'd have just closed my eyes and grabbed two! :P

Yay for them all going in pairs!

  7. Can't say, as I would not pair by appearance (even when kittens look very different from, or "too much like" each other)and I can't recall details of temperament etc well enough offhand.

Cats can of course look very similar at first glance (or speeding down a semi-lit hallway at Mach 3, LOL) but are usually actually very different even in looks, like our two brown tiger DSH rescues, as kitten Eri approaches Aegir in size, because there are so many different hues of brown tiger (or black, or anything cat!) loveliness and because their little cat-nalities are so distinct.

I do recall a recent post WRT Genevieve, that she sounds like another little "Jane Eyre Cat" like our Aegir. If kids or a dog will be part of either family, she might have an advantage in dealing with their "Mr. Rochester-isms", LOL! (Or would she be more upset by that than a less contemplative kitten? Not enough kitten experience here to have a feel for that.)

They are all so adorable!!! And the double-eyeliner that brown tigers have is so beautiful.--from Arowyn

  8. Oh my, out of all the litters you have had, if I were fostering I would be tempted to keep all 4 myself since they are so beautiful! I would have to send Genevieve and Theodora together and then Bee and Mavis together but any combination is good as long as they can all grow up with a sister!

  9. Maybe let them decide! If they natuarally sleep eat play with one more than others might be indication of their favorite sister.

  10. I will take two sets of two, please :D

  11. So glad no one is going alone! They are such a close litter, it's too bad they couldn't all go together, but what a handful that would have been!

    I can't choose!

  12. After reading, I'm somewhat relieved that I'm not alone in being unable to decide on pairing. I'm glad that the girls will each have a little friend to go with them. I do love brown tabbies, and these girls are super adorable. Have very much enjoyed "watching" them.

  14. It's sad they can't find a home together, but they'd be great in no matter what mix you got. My favorite pairs are Genevieve & Belinda - Mavis & Theodora... but honestly, they're just all so cute!

  16. I called several people who adore kitteh cats here in the couv Vancouver Washington, they went to your website and are smitten, of course 4 adorable kitteh cats are a lot but one of my friends if she can would love to take all of them home, her hubs said no only 2 and she wants all of them..what a happy dilemma to have..I applaud your efforts your are tireless and wonderful..Give the Queen Miss Charlene Butterbean smooches from me and of course lots of those too for the Princess Wylla Stout..Praying a family will take all of them and love on them and take good care of them..ciao & best wishes & love always!

  18. O what wonderful pairings they will be. You are the Chief Kitten Wrangler and I know your selections will be wonderful!

  19. It's so hard to say! I like Mavis with Genevieve and Theodora with Belinda, based just on looks. They don't seem to have parted off themselves, preferring to stay in a Patmore heap. It will be interesting to see how it all gets sorted out.
