A Big Week for Bean

DSC_2640

Thanks to everyone who sent in a birthday greeting for Bean!  I started working on the video this weekend, and it sure was fun looking at all of your cute cats! I haven't finished editing it yet, so if any of you wanted to add a birthday message to our slideshow, please send it over ASAP and I can include it. You've got until 12:00 PM (Pacific Time) today!

I pulled out an old hard drive this weekend and dug up some vintage Bean to share with you during our day-long celebration tomorrow, and had a great trip down memory lane. I found some gems and I think you'll find them to be quite amusing. Goodness, she was so goofy and adorable!

Tomorrow is going to be really fun and I plan to post early and post often, so do keep close to your computer so you don't miss out on any of it!

Later in the week, Bean has an appointment for a teeth cleaning. She's always had really great teeth, so we were surprised to see during her last visit that she was starting to have some dental issues.  Hopefully it will just be a cleaning and there will be no need for extractions, but we'll just have to wait and see what they see once she's under.  She'll be in good hands, I know, but you know I'm still going to worry.

A milestone birthday and dental cleaning for Charlene!  That's quite a week for our girl!

  1. Good luck with the teeth, Bean!

My grand dame elder kitten Smokey had to have teeth pulled a few months back...not fun!

  2. My 11 yr old Maine Coon had his first cleaning and 1 tooth extracted. Do expect several hours of a slightly stoned and goofy Beanie when she comes home.

    Can't wait for tomorrow!

  3. Good luck with Charlene's teeth! It is hard not to worry, but I bet she'll come through just fine. Our now 13 year old boy kitty lost three teeth during his first cleaning; hopefully Bean won't have that many issues with her mouth.

  4. We have 3 cats who are the same age as Bean (all from the same litter) and for the first time 2 of them needed extractions - the vet said it was a genetic issue. They both came through fine!

  5. Good luck with the dental cleaning. The docs tell me that LG is going to need one in the not too distant future. I will also worry. Eh, we're cat moms - it's what we do.

  8. Ahhh, another glorious Bean portrait.

I am sure Charlene will have a dopey time after her dental, but will be fine.
